similar to coldplay, but aimed at a younger audience. 16-mid20's. same age group as taking back sunday, maybe a little more mature. he wrote piano music before he was in the band, and he admires Elton john and other famous piano players, so his piano skills are amazing. the music is very melodic and energetic. eh, just check it out ;-)

I like something corporate a little. But I hate their "If U C Jordan" song. Have you heard of the Starting Line? They are one of my favorite bands. Something Corporate and The Starting Line are both from The Drive-Thru Records.

Yeah, they are a good band. They aren't very popular. But I'm glad. We don't need another Good Charlotte.

yeah, if u c jordan is my least favorite soco song, but i still really enjoyed it live. and yes, starting line is one of my favorite bands also. their new cd comes out in April (they have promo stuff from the album on purevolume, from what i've heard its real good). i know pretty much all the bands from drive-thru, some are good, some suck. "soco" and "starting line" are my two favorites, "early november" and "make a mess" aren't far behind. (both ace ender bands)

mines either "she paints me blue" or "watch the sky". if anyones a true fan and you've heard either import songs from the album north, or stuff that just wasn't on either album, its all real good. (ie - konstantine, forget december, walking by, plucked)

i really got into dashboard about 4 years ago when i picked up guitar. they are brilliant writers, and his voice has amazing range. i outplayed their stuff so much, on top of learning almost every song on guitar. its crazy how they take such simple chords, or simple patters, and make them sound so different and complex when arranged right.

check out the first two songs (suprise, suprise) and (bedroom talk)
i like bedroom talk, not traditional lyrics you'd expect from Kenny, but a nice change in maturity.

Eh, Bright Eyes owns all the bands in this thread. )
Glad you enjoyed the show....I saw them a few times in their home town of San Kuis Obispo when my brother was going to college there. Not my favorite kind of music, but they do it well.
