problem with gmail?

i can log into the account just can't get to the gmail part of it

OH NOEZ! Looks like they're doing maintenance; my GMail Notifier has been spitting errors at me, but I haven't actually tried to login.

it's my understanding that almost everyone's gmail account is hosted on a different server (mostly - as in there are lots of gmail accounts on each server, but in a relative sense, everyone is on a different server) - so when you get the "server is down" message, that simply means [idcb6c0fc56]your[/idcb6c0fc56] particular server bonked. So when you say your account is down, it bears little relevance to the rest of the world's gmail accounts...shrug

its back up now... but i think i lost all the mail that was email when it was down /
