Change your clocks ahead one hour...and if you havn't done so already, update your computer with a new patch so that it knows to change the time properly.

These updates only apply to users who haven't been updating their computers. Most computers should have had this updated as it has been in the works since last year.

Thank you thank you thank you for the reminder. My bf has a rehearsal in the morning and we had totally forgot.
Could someone please tell me how changing the DST is going to save energy?

fuck me sideways...
The way I see it, it doesn't reduce energy use (in some case it can increase usage)... Setting a clock forward or behind isn't necessarily going to make a person use less energy.

Speaking of DST, when will the server's time move forward?

Seems like the obvious benefit would be people turning their lights on later in the day, rather than earlier. I know growing up, my family always used natural light for as long as possible before turning the lights on. Also, if it's light out longer, I'm more likely to go for a walk after dinner, play catch with a friend, etc, so I can see myself using the TV less.

The idea is that with the "longer" periods of daylight, more natural (and thus less artificial) lighting can be used. Even if just a few KWH were saved per home & business per year, multiplied by the millions and millions of said homes & businesses would result in substantially less energy consumption.

Actually, I believe it always took place near the end of March, however they decided to change it, and it was at 2 AM this morning.

And yet, the server time still hasn't moved forward...? Is it something that needs done by hand?

Here's an amusing fact (at least to me, anyways) Traditionally this Sunday is one of the lowest in church attendance of the year because people lose an our and 'don't want to go'

feck, suddenly it's 3am and I'm still up. Running on about 12 hours sleep total over the last few nights, and tomorrow I need to get up early to catch the ferry back to Van to see a concert of Baroque choir music. I'm so going to snore through the whole show.
