I'll tell you why. It's because he just enhanced the trade module to allow us to credit your trades much more quickly.
Many thanks to dmorris for the latest contribution to the forum. Somebody get that man a green and a point of karma.

Is the crediting system automatic now or something? I mean ... crediting was fast already, so I'm honestly interested how it has been made even faster, because that's going to be amazing.
What's the secret? lishakes dmorris' handli

In the past, we had to manually credit each trade. If there were 85 trades, it meant 170 clicks; one click per trade for crediting, and another one per trade to return from the confirmation screen to the list of trades requesting credit.
Now we have batch crediting. We still scan all the same information, but instead of manually approving each trade, we flag the suspicious ones and credit the rest. Crediting those 85 trades takes just a few clicks after dmorris68's improvements.

How about check boxes and mass deletion, trade request, confirmation, etc for our trades?
You know...when you get a minute.... ;)

I can definitely see that as a great improvement. I didn't realize each trade used to be 2 clicks, to be honest. I figured it would be 1 (and it would credit both people), and then it would automatically go back to the list.
So how fast can we expect trades to be credited now, since they used to be done within 24 hours?

I think we used to shoot for 24 hours, but during periods of high volume, it sometimes took a little longer.
You might not notice a dramatic improvement in how quickly you receive credit, but this frees up the mods' time to uphold the rules and offer help in other areas.

Damn... now my strategy of doing lots of trading to distract the staff while I wreak havoc will be that much harder to accomplish...

Oh my...I wish we had this on a4f. Ours is only one click, but the page has to load with each approval. We've been asking for mass approval for awhile, but our coders are a bit......umm. Lazy! (just kidding, in case you're reading this) Anyway...+karma to dmorris. Good work.
