HOT ITEMS TO RESELL TOPICS
Hey, if anyone has any input on things they think are going to be able to be resold on ebay that are coming out put it here....
im real big in the buying and reselling on ebay thing... like most people here...
so im thinking super smash bros brawl is going to be a big hit... prob the most popular wii game.... anyone put any reserves on it...
any other games, tech, or books (maybe harry potter) that you guys think will b big
I dont know too much about what is going to sell, but here is some advice about HOW to resell these hot items.... I think marketing the item makes a difference. Research what you want to sell and see how others do it.
Key words are important. Also not everyone searches the description, so use the title space wisely. Dont waste valuable character space with things like "LQQK!!" or "WOW!!!"
People like pics. Do NOT use the factory pics of whatever youre selling.
Set up your auction listing nice with tables etc, but dont go overboard with the jungle templates and all that.
Maybe cross promotes some items.
I had a bunch of these tips i learned that made a huge difference. I was thinking about writing them all down and posting them on my website but never seem to get around to it.
yea i read a book saying alot of those things, but thanks man... were u into the wii's? and reselling those
no, but HAHA, okay this is gonna sound crazy..... but I was listenisg to John Tesh's show (I was on the phone with my fiance who is out of the country and wanted to hear it in the background as opposed to 92.3 xtreme radio).
ANYWAY..... "Tesh" says that first edition childrens books have SUPER high resale and so do childhood toys if they are in good condition. Also really old board games. There were more, but I wasnt really listening.
I dont know how you would feel about selling these things, but according to him they are worth a lot of money and collectors would be buying them.
On items like the Wii i think timing is key obviously.
Just ask the people here that got screwed because a matter of a couple weeks on the Elmos that were going for double their value.
Also with ebay, with more feedback points/higher score you have the better.
like old school toys in good condition...
i have a 10th anniversary tickle me elmo.... TMX... things like that?
I got fucked on the Elmos, big time. I bought then in like November and they were selling for $85 a peice. I waited, because everyone said at Christmas time they'd sell for $150 a peice. I ended up selling one for $35 and another for $37, with free shipping. AKA, I lost money.
I made like $600-$700 selling 4 Wii's though )
I lost about $850 with the 2 PS3's I got though (

Old school toys like star wars, gi joes action figures. I dont know. I wasnt paying too much attention. Haha voltron, thundercats.
Myabe dr seus books.
man, I got fucked up on both the elmo and ps3 as well. Good thing I only got 1 of each. I end up keeping both items. the ps3 is just sitting there with no games (
^^ why not just return it to the store you bought it at and get 100% your money back?
Or did you already have it up for auction and then it sold for less than expected?
Oh well.... in 10 years it'll be hot on ebay again D
I don't know if I agree. Look at the NES. That's not selling for thousands on eBay, and it's real old.
I've made some decent money going to pawn shops and buying old school PS1 games. I bought Castlevania SOTN for $8 and sold it for over $50! I've also bought and sold breath of fire 3 and IQ.
I think this idea works because no one thinks the PS1 is worth anything anymore.
I made $800 from selling a ps3, and I didn't have to wait for it. I just went to walmart at midnight and bought a 20gig off of someone for $1000 cash, and then I sold it on ebay for $1799 the next day. Ahh it was nice.
I bought 2 elmos and waited too long, so I didn't make money off of those.
You can make quite a pretty penny off some video games, especially Sega Saturn and Sega CD games. Its kinda tough though, especially since most EBs are getting rid of PSX games now.
I remember I bought Suikoden II for PSX for $10 and sold it for $150, I also had luck with Busta Groove 2, sold it for about $80, got it for $15

I always thought purchasing maybe $100 worth of Iraqi currency (Dinars) would be a good investment as the post-war exchange rate may increase heavily. Just a thought, people have different views on this.
it definitely is an abstract way of thinking, but u never know with this economy
