So I'm going to the casino for my friends 18th in 2 weekends and am pretty dead set on putting $500 on the roulette table. It's basically the best 50/50 odds. I know this isn't the smartest thing to do but I guess im a gambler )

Don't you have to be 21 to get into casinos?

In canada you just need to be 18 if you're going there. My friend and I were going to Canada to go to the casino. We called up the lady on Onstar and asked her what she thought. She said black so we went, but 300 large on black and we won.. woohoo.

Indian reservation casinos usually only require you to be 18.

Always bet on black...

Theres one in Michigan that is only 18 because I think alcohol isn't served on the floor or something. Not sure, but I know people under 21 who have been there.

Yeah, I go to the Island casino in Upper Michigan, and I'm only 18. Instead of dropping the money on roulette, use it to get really good at blackjack. I make a hundred bucks every time I go. Get the book "An Expert's Guide to Winning at 21" by John Archer.

or just go to wizardofodds.com for free and read all the blackjack info they have there. There isn't any real super system to blackjack, and you can memorize the table in an hour or two.

but yeah I agree, you could have more fun, and be able to gamble longer with better odds playing blackjack than betting one lump sum on a roulette table.

http//wizardofodds.com/roulette
http//wizardofodds.com/blackjack

you would have a 2% advantage increase if you played blackjack over roulette.

All the Indian Reservation casinos in Michigan are 18. If you're 21, they give you a wristband so you can buy booze.

The book teaches a very effective method of card counting. It works on any number of decks in the shoe. But you're right, any one can learn the basic strategy in a hour or so. But it seems when I play, 75% of people don't know what they're doing.

Most Oklahoma casino's are 18, I go all the time...

and BTW All table games are -EV excecpt for poker... blackjack is your best bet, but you can't plan on winning money every time you go since the odds are against you, (poker you can't plan on winning every time because of the variance in poker)

But put it on BLACK!

justinag06

well the thing about card counting is it's very hard. The casinos have so many measures in place today that if you were even able to do it, you would only get a .5-1.5 % advantage.

oh how I miss the days of internet casino bonuses...

1% doesn't seem like much, but it is the only game where you have an advantage over the casino. The counting system I use is not too difficult if you practice. It's also easier if you have more people at the table, so it goes more slowly.

Yeah a lot of the CA Indian reservations are 18 and over. For the 21 and over they passed a law recently that doesn't allow them to serve free drinks (

It's illegal to gamble here... No indian reservations, not even a lottery. The only thing you can do is play bingo with the elderly.

I'm a casino dealer. Whoever said "let it ride" poker is the best casino game- he's wrong. It has the worst odds for the player. not to mention is extremely boring.

although the 11 odds on roulette seem pretty good. you're gonna kick yourself when zero's pop up. if i were you i would bet most of my stack on whatever you choose (red, black, even, odd, high, low) and put a small portion splitting the zeros, to cover your bet.

if its your first time at casino, maybe spread the wealth, and see what game you like best. however, its not a good idea to play a game you don't know how to play. do some research first.

If you are going to play blackjack and have never played before and don't know basic strategy- and proceed to jump into a game, i guarentee you are going to get yelled at by the players at the table. and you'll be losing money based on ignorance of the game.

anyway in the long run remember this LUCK DOESN'T LAST FOREVER. THE CASINO'S EDGE WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE YOU BROKE. WHEN YOU ARE UP ALOT OF MONEY- DON'T GIVE IT ALL BACK! THE LONGER YOU'RE THERE THE MORE LIKELY YOU'LL LOSE IT ALL.

okay, had to put in my 2 cents. haha good luck! <3 Tammy

Yeah, I absolutely hate that. And when sometimes people play the right strategy, but then bend the rules because they "feel something." I saw a guy stand on a hard 5. Yes, a hard 5! Of course he lost. The dealer was even telling him the right plays, but he didn't listen.
