monoprice.com has cheap cables. I am not sure exactly which one to buy or if it would void the warranty.. I just know monoprice is a cheap place.
This thread might help.

Just out of curiosity, when did you go processing? I've been waiting since 2/13/2006.

4/12/2006 - but I also sent a BBB complaint on Feb 15th for an unrelated issue - nothing to do with waiting but the fact they never responded to support tickets nor did they change my name after I got married on 5/6/06. Then I checked my account on 2/23 and I was shipped and I got it today with order date of 2/21

I got mine at Walmart, they work fine and I think I got them for 20 bucks each. lol I went over to circuit city the other day and saw them for sale for 150 bucks each.

anything over $50 is ridiculous in my opinon, I saw the ones in the monoprice thread after getting the link (+KMA) but they were out of stock (sigh) My Wally World didnt have them, and then the guy told me they void the warranty or some shizzle, who knows.
how will they know its just a hdmi cable the ofiical one by sony is made by monster so get one off ebay like i did for 20 bucks they were the exact same one as best buy which sold them at 140.

Honestly, when it comes to high definition digital cables why would you want something CHEAP? Dont you want the most out of your high def tvs and $600 consoles?

Retailers are notorious for marking up these cables to take advantage of people buying HDTVs and such. The cables at monoprice aren't necessarily cheap, they just aren't overpriced.
Also, I think analog cables are more sensitive to quality, because of the kinds of signals they pass. I would think a digital cable can get away being 'cheaper' as long as they are not bad enough to the point where the 1s and 0s are being disrupted. I could be wrong...
Don't buy into all the Monster marketing. They're kind of like BOSE, but not as bad.

because its complete bs to pay $100 for a cable that has no functional difference to a $6 monoprice cable.
HDMI IS DIGITAL!!!! it either transmits or it doesnt with NO VARIATION BASED ON CABLES!!!

obviously the marketing has brained washed you. Absolutely no difference between super cheap cables and super expensive cable. It either works or it dosent.
monoprice cables are excellent. $20. they are AS GOOD as overpriced monster cables.

i was reading ALL HDMI cables are the same. there would be no difference with 7 dollar cables and 1000000 dollar monster cables. I looked on ebay for the monoprice store and I bought the cables for 2.95 plus 4.95 shipping.
