Whose actually thinking of buying an IPhone

I dunno if id want that, the google maps stuff is good and if more features come out i would probably just freebie it ) either way.

Its a little too big for a phone for one and two, its going to make for a terrible mp3 player. So I would much rather have two objects that serve their own purposes well, then have a device that aims to do many things at an average level.

Besides, Cingular sucks, Verizon FTW

I was going to, but I changed my mind. I think it would have been better for them not to announce it until they were able to release it, cause now people have had time to think it over....

The iPhone's GUI is attractive...but I can mimic (and have mimiced) it on my 8125. I went back to my customization of Windows Mobile 5.0 after about an hour.

I was going to get one but have decided to go with the Q or something.

It costs too much, plus if you already have an iPod I really don't see any use for it. I mean most people already have a cell phone. And most phones now play music and do tons of other crap too. It really isn't worth it.

most mp3 players played mp3s as well as other stuff but ipods still sold

ill wait a couple years for a better version or rip with expandable memory, and at a cheaper price.

Let me know what you think - my girlfriend just got interviewed for a job @ Verizon, so if she gets it we'll probably end up making the switch ("employee discount" is 50% off the bill). I didn't upgrade to Media Max, I generally use WiFi for internet...I pretty much have a no-frills plan with myself, my g/f, my sister, and my nephew on it.

It's "who's" sillyboi. Oh and yes, I am the grammar police.

Oh and no, I'm not buying an iPhone.

battery life = awful

iphone is lame, good thing most the freebie sites will send checks since they need contracts

fwiw, I tried to get my GC on my VZW plan (because I get a discount through work) but the phone would have to be in my name, and therefore be on my bill for her to get the discount. From what I could tell, she'd have to in essence pay me each month for her cell phone bill, but then she'd get the discount.

I am going to buy this Real iPhone

When I first heard Apple iPhone, I imagined an iPod, but used like a phone. This is nothing like the iPhone, it looks nothing like an iPod. It is not cool looking in my opinion. I decided to go with LG Chocolate, which resembles an iPod, has a nice mp3 player, and is an awesome looking phone.

How is the chocolate?? Do you have problems with the buttons or accidentally hitting them while on the phone? I am still thinking about getting one. I have been reading reviews and a bunch of people love it, and a bunch of people hate it.

I haven't had any problems with the touch pad. It is a bit different, but after 5 minutes of using the buttons, it was no different than hitting normal buttons. I really like the phone.

I just think this phone is a bad idea.

Think about how many times you drop your cell phone.... when it just falls out of your backpack, or when you are in a hurry to answer it. I have never dropped my ipod once, but I drop my cell phone at least 2-3 per month i think.


Cell phones need to be able to take a certain degree of abuse and i dont think this iphone thing can withstand it.

$600 is way too much for a phone/ipod...since I already have a phone and an iPod.
