has anyone done this or know what i need to do this.
bought my new car yesterday, and i was pleasantly surprised to find that it has an AUX connection. I assume that I need a cable to go from my ipod where the headphones plug in to then connect to the AUX on my stereo in my car. i have searched online and just cannot find what i need. any thoughts? anyone have this?
thanks )

they sell them at wal-mart for like $6

what it is is a headphone jack on one end and 2 RCA connections on the other.

You pull out your headunit in the car and plug the RCA connections inot the back and then plug the I -pod into the headphone jack.

You may have to drill a hole or run the wire pretty wierd to get the headphone jack available to plug into the ipod

I thought an Auxillery connection was just a mini port, like a headphone jack. You can get them at almost any electronics store.

Yeah, you're correct. It just looks like a cable with a headphone plug on both ends.

I think this should work for you (if I'm understanding you correctly)

yeah...a lot of cd players (portable, by sony in particular) came with one of these, so search around, you might have one!

1/8" to 1/8" male and the appropriate conversion to mm are the best search terms

Yeah I have one in my Yaris....

When I first got it I was clueless, so I went to Best Buy and was like "I have this car with an AUX port, and I need a cord that has like the end you plug into your iPod on both sides...."

The guy was like "oh yeah, that's right down here" and it was like $4.95 or something.

Speaking of which, I need to get another one becuase that wire keeps shorting out.
