Finally the north east (NY,NY) have a snow day. This dry winter I was afraid we would never have a snow day, so enjoy while it lasts. 8)

Nice ... although I was disappointed that the first snow I saw was when I got back to the west coast in January ... made me quite sad to be in Pennsylvania for a month and not have any snow. So enjoy it now; it seems to be hitting full force.

It has snowed like 4 times this year in dallas. we usually only get snow once every couple of years. no snow days though.

We just got the 2nd snow day in my 4 years here...I'm stoked. I would have had a midterm today...but instead it's MONDAY now )
I plan to go sledding (in laundry baskets or on "cafeteria" trays) and play in the snow with some friends later!

I'm suprised I got off today. My University almost never cancels class. But I guess with 12 inches and another 6-8 expected and with it still currently snowing and not supposed to stop until 8pm tonight they made an exception.

Well I didn't break my back but it was a lot of work helping her and digging out behind our alleyway too. I did crack my knee though and it hurts like a bitch. It's all swollen and bruised and cut so I'm in bed iced up. cry

Funny story, so yea, snow day today, but mainly an inch of snow with hail, freezing rain, and ice all over the place, so me and a few friends decided to take it easy at my place, so we ordered dominos at like, 1 o clock, well, he only got here at 3, and we weren't planning on tipping him, even with the whether it was an extra hour and a half to the normal time, but, when he was walking up, he slipped and gravity owned him...he wasn't hurt, but I felt so bad I had to give him a tip.

Purdue canceled classes and shut down the University for only the FOURTH time in its history. The last time they completely shut down campus (while classes were in session) was in the 80's, I think. They shut down campus in 1999, but it was in between semesters.
It's as if these people have never seen snow, though. It's ridiculous. I refuse to drive (I make DH drive, lol). I grew up with Lake Effect, so driving in snow is easy for me, but it's the morons that cannot that scare me. (
