Anyone here have an affiliate account with TD Ameritrade? Anyone seen it as an offer anywhere? I'm about to start trading stocks online, and it seems like depositing through an affiliate might yield a decent payout.

Let me know!

P.S. Did I really just see a Blockbuster Online ad below the post confirmation? Heh.

Thanks. I've managed my parents' retirement accounts for several years...just never online (always through a broker). Also, I'm splitting a $50 refer-a-friend bonus with a friend of mine.

i was thinking about investing my money into a high yield cd for a few months. last year i invested 2 shares in google and about 20 in "lvlt" aka level 3 communications. made a good profit also and got out of the market ( since i needed the money)

let me know how everything turns out. I am interested in this.

I just opened a TD Ameritrade account this weekend, I'm liking it so far but Schwab might be a little bit better.

The amount you could possibly gain (or lose, for that matter) is virtually limitless, and depends on a variety of factors. Although I've just started trading, I'm very familiar with stock market trends as well as the business in general. At the moment, I'm up $129.20 for the week, though, and anticipate that number to be substantially higher by market close )

However, while stocks often offer a higher return, they also carry much greater risk. If nothing else, throw the $1000 into a HSBC Direct savings account...you'll gain 5.05% doing nothing.

The funny thing is...if someone is here...they [should] know that they can benefit [i9c9f5745d3]somehow[/i9c9f5745d3] from completing the offer through an incentive site. Also, I had to chuckle a bit when the database was KO'd...the server still managed to spit out that Blockbuster Online ad (I realize that technically speaking it makes sense, but laughable nonetheless).

Having run a forum yourself, albeit one with no-where near the traffic, or membership of FiPG, you can understand how expensive hosting is. Further, as someone who has owned and operated an incentive website, you know that there are many opportunities to monetize traffic; Admin could be taking advantage of one of the opportunities available to him as the owner of this site by running the Blockbuster campaign.

Further, the DB being overloaded has nothing to do with the Blockbuster advertisement. The DB (technically, the connections limit) was KO'd, not the hosting; and the Blockbuster ad isn't being served by freeipodguide.com. As you might know, the Blockbuster ad is being served by an external host, the same as hotlinking a picture from another site.

Finally, even with all that having been said, the Blockbuster ad is being run for a reason entirely different than monetizing the traffic here.

I thought we were friends...why the low blows? The fact is, it's something like advertising sand to people at a beach.

This is probably the only meaningful part of this post. Thanks.

It was not meant to be a low blow; just a statement of fact. 1,500 users, versus 15,000, use fewer resources, and hosting for 1,500 users (what I'm guessing FON.net had at it's height) is already expensive.
