For English I have to do this project of surveying 20 people and asking them who they think is the hero in our society, and why do you think so. Can be a group or just a person. If you could PM me your name and age so I can include it in my "survey".

PS - If things go good, this could turn into a debate, so all opinions are wanted.

Well, he did throw tampons at his audience. I'm sure girls were able to use them... ;)

I think our armed forces personnel, police and firefighters are our real heroes of today.

That's exactly what I told him, except without the armed forces...(it was too late at night to think of them all.) P

Lance Armstrong could be a hero to those who have cancer because he conquered it.

I'm not a parent yet but I would have to say all the single parents, Mom's and Dad's, who work their asses off to give their children the opportunity to survive in this crazy world!

True, in relation to punk, I totally agree. (Was just trying to be funny)

He may have hurt his rep by being on The People's Court, though. ;)

He's undermined the respect he was getting by his immodest statements after the fact. You can't take away the fact he did a very brave thing, but he [ib22d72bdb6]is[/ib22d72bdb6] milking it.

So? He earned it. In a month no one will know who he is (hell, I've already forgotten his name), and he's a fairly poor person accepting money from people way, way richer than him.

I saw a few interviews with him and I don't think he was very immodest at all.

Tholek

13-01-2007 13:14:47

We must've seen different interviews then.

Anyhow, actions do speak louder than words. He did do a very brave thing.

You have Oprah, NYC Subway Hero, and U.S. soldiers listed twice.

Is this just a list, or are you supposed to write something about each?

OldManWrigley

15-01-2007 22:16:48

It's just a list, and it's because I surveyed 20 people and just copied and pasted the asnwers. I guess those were the most popular. But NYC Subway Hero is only listed once P

Anyway, I'm supposed to pick 1 of the 20 and write about them. I picked Oprah, because well, she's easy.
