Yes, it's awesome. Get one of those pouches to tie them to whatever shoes you like so you aren't locked into the Nike+ shoes.

they have a chip in them that connects with your ipod wirelessly and keeps track of how fast you run, what distance, and you can listen to your music while running...
I have a pair of the air moto's... I ran with them for a few months and then realized they were what was causing all of the aches and pains in my legs, so i havn't worn them or the chip since then... i'll probably buy the pouch and try it out though!

I know... that's why I wanted to at least try and help out LeBron lol. lol
I'm wondering why Alan Webb isn't winning and people are running for that girl. If she loses she'll have to get a tattoo of Webb's face on her stomach. Why would people want to run for her? If she wins, nothing happens. ?

Yeah, you can buy a 3rd party pouch that you can attach to any shoe. I just use the Nike+ shoes though.

I bought some Air Max 360's today and I'm in love with them already. They are so much more comfortable then the retro shoes I wore. I'm thinking of digging up an old nano and buying Nike + to get back in shape after eating like a hog this winter. Do you guys use the armband or is there another accessory that's more comfortable?

I don't have a big problem with it. It is kind of hard to hit the buttons because you can't see them but I got used to it.
it only works on the nano right?
that sucks (

It really won't work on a hard drive based ipod?

I'm almost 100% sure that running with a hard drive iPod is bad for it. shrug

Oh nice, great thread. I've been looking for a good 3rd party pouch. Nike never has my size shoe in addition to being expensive.

I understand that shock isn't good for an iPod w/ a hd, but that doesn't really answer my question.

I don't think that the Nike+ software works on iPods besides the Nanos, so...
You'll might want to Google that just to be sure.

Sorry for the 6-month bump.
How many people have this here? Maybe we can do a team challenge or something?
Maybe it's not a good time since some of you pussies[/size7fdbba59c8] may not run in the cold.

That's faster than me, I was doing at best 800 earlier this year before I had to stop for a while.
Are you guys running on road/track or treadmill? We could just do a small challenge of 25 to 50 miles. Hopefully we can get at least 4 people here. Others can sign up from the Nike site too.

They've dropped the prices on refurbed nanos at apple.com so you can get a 2GB model for $79. It's not too late... You too JKirk!

Do you [i7ec1a5c856]have[/i7ec1a5c856] to have the Nike+ shoes in order to do this? I've heard of people just tucking it under their shoelaces. Also, how accurate is it?

Earlier in this thread we talked about pouches you can get so you can wear whatever shoes you want.
You should calibrate it but in my case it has been pretty accurate. You can map your route at the nike+ site so you can always compare how much the sensor tells you you ran vs. the actual distance given by google maps.

for you runners out there, here is a good website for working out maps, www.favoriterun.com it lets you set up routes with the correct distance, then you time it and put it in, and it gives pace per mile and stuff... pretty cool site, and very accurate.

u gotta have one of the 1st 3 generation nanos.
i got a new in box silver mini 4gb i gotta do a trade.
anyone down for it?

14-12-2007 07:21:08
Yes, any nano. There have only been 3 generations of nanos.
I think I read about some small issues with the 3rd gen though.
what small issues im in the market for one
hehehhehe
15-12-2007 07:42:54
It was displaying the wrong mileage or distance unit (people were saying both but it was probably the units) while recording the correct distance either way but I read that it's been fixed.
