What are some of your favorites? Other then Star wars.

One of my favorites is "Contact". Though it's rather lengthy, it's an awesome movie.

"The Butterfly Effect". Definitely another great Sci-Fi film.

Yup, those two movies are probably at the top of my Sci-Fi list. )

And for an adventure film, well, "Lord of the Rings" (all of them), and most of all, "The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". That is definitely one of my favorite movies.

Meh. Short of Star Wars and Blade Runner, none of those films are sci-fi [iefe768f7ee]and[/iefe768f7ee] adventure. Contact, especially. If you want both sci-fi and adventure, Alien[befe768f7ee]s[/befe768f7ee] and Predator are probably the best. I'd put Terminator and The Thing up there as well.

Sci-Fi is pretty broad of a genre. There's thrillers, action-adventure [iefe768f7ee]and[/iefe768f7ee] dramas.

Pitch Black. It's pleasantly non-run-of-the-mill.

If anyone says Event Horizon I will literally kill them...what a crap movie.

Anyone sci-fi is indeed pretty broad. I tend to go more towards the fantasy part but hey, lol I like the classics Blade Runner, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Day of the Triffids, Aliens, Teminator 2 and unlikely as it seems I liked Resident Evil and Doom which I consider to be sci-fi like movies more than action.

I agree with Blade Runner, it's one of my all time favorites. Other movies based on Philip Dick's books are good too (like Minority Report) although Paycheck was horrible.

Don't forget about Dune.

What happened to that film was a criminal act. DeLaurentis should be shot for screwing with Lynch's work. I still love it, and the performances too, but I always wonder what Lynch's final product would've been when I watch it. (
