What can I say? Honestly? From the Glenn safety, to the 30 yard pass interference, to the botched field goal, the Cowboys blew it. Completely, utterly blew it. I've never been so disappointed in a non home team game in my life. You have NO idea how pissed I am.
Atleast I still have the Patriots(for 1 more game at the very least).

Haha... Did you see him after the field goal? He was lying on the field holding his helmet like he was crying... Twenty bucks says that'll be the picture of at least one newspaper in the United States somewhere for this game.

romo did screw up dont get me wrong. that play is a reason why I have always thought that you should send a WR out to each side of the FG in case something like that happens. of course that could leave 2 people unblocked, but usually there are 3 DBs who do not need to be blocked because they just jump high anyway.
also of note, there were MANY instances that lead to that loss, the fumbled snap was not the only one. the team lost that game, not Romo

We have football threads every week. Just because he included a video doesn't mean he needs to post it in the video thread.
Perhaps he could have bumped an old football thread though...
Anyways, I was happy as a pig in shit last night when they lost, but now the Eagles have to win or it doesn't matter.

Everyone loses to a team they think will be an easy game -- the bears did it vs. Green Bay.
Superbowl teams pounce on Dallas in Dallas. And not win by one point on a botched field goal.

The Saints are good, but the way the Eagles are playing right now, I'd like to see the Saints try and get past them and their defense. Of course, the Eagles can never make it past the NFC Championship game P

The Saints have the number one passing offense in the NFL. They can get past anyone's defense right now, of course I am biased. But with Horn and Colston 100% healthy they will be a force.

I've been listening to Philly sports radio all week and they've been saying that even the Giants sports commentators are saying they have no chance.
Personally I think we're way too confident and need to come out and play like we're 14 point underdogs.

All the announcers are saying the giants have NO chance at winning, i think they have alittle chance of winning, they are acting like the giants are a 0-12 team.

The Giants started the season great, yet they lose 6 of their last 8 to end up 8 -8. They might as well be 0-12. I do not see them putting up much of a fight, I just hope the Eagles come to play and do not act lazy out on the field and end up getting stunned.

I really don't care who wins this though, my NFC team was the Cowboys and they are already out. Barber is having a nice game, but so is Westbrook, its turning out to be pretty good.
The Patriots demolished the Jets atleast. I was pretty impressed, the Pats played a very solid game. They finally are looking like a play off team, unlike a few of their more recent games.

Other note, I laughed pretty hard when Romo botched the hold.

Careful what you wish for =P All I can say is, if the Pats continue to play solid games like they did today, they are headed to the Super Bowl.
I think San Diego will be a challenge, although I think they have been hyped up considerably - their schedule was somewhat on the weak side. The bye week and home field will be a big advantage though.
I was also less then thrilled by Peyton this weekend. 3 INTs will hurt A LOT more against any of the remaining play off teams.
tylerc
08-01-2007 04:22:38
The 3 INTs was bad, but how often has Manning honestly had a bad game like that before? It's uncommon, and when your defense plays like it does, does it really matter? 126 net yards allowed, no first downs in the first half, 45 rushing yards or something around there.

Thats true too, the Colts defense really did step it up considerably, especially considering how they've been this season against the run. Although I do have to attribute some of that to just downright poor offensive play calling by the Chiefs. They just kept trying to ram Larry Johnson through, when it was obvious the Colts knew that was there strategy and had them beat every time they tried it.

I'm so glad that Romo screwed that up. I'm not a Dallas fan at all and it's good to see them out of the playoffs.
