So I had my iPod plugged into my iMonster cable connected to my stereo and also had it connected to my computer to charge, the nearest plug-in wouldn't reach my iPod. So I had both my computer and stereo plugged into it. The iPod was turned off. Now my computer won't detect my iPod at all, I even tryed restarting my computer. The battery is also shot. I recharged it to the full capacity and then took it off charging and turned it off. I turned it back on like 20 minutes later and it was already sucked down to half full. What the heck is going on? Does anyone know? I tried putting the settings back to factory settings but it still won't be detected by my computer and I can't load anything onto it. cry

Apple will prob give you a new one... my friend will dropped his in a toilet and managed to get it replaced ( he got his from freeipods.com ), then as if that wasn't enough once he got it he plugged it into the firewire port and the electronics got fried much like yours did, they replaced it for him a second time.

I feel your pain, good luck man.

haha. i dont really know what he was doing... but thats the story.

also on another good (well kinda good) note, my friend paul just got another copy of san andreas (3rd time). For some reason it only works in his PS2 for like 6 hours before the disc can't be read anymore, then he returns it to wal mart and gets a new one. The third one is already broken.. he is going to return it tomorrow.

good luck

Wow...I'm glad san andreas works for me D BTW, I fixed my iPod. I watched some troubleshooting video on the apple website. All I had to do was hold down menu and the submit button for 7 seconds and walla!

Hey guys,

to follow with the ipod problems. I notice that mine turns on by itself, I'll charge it up full then next time i use it, its dead. I've been sitting at my desk b4 and see it turn on and start playing music, It renders it basically useless as most times i go to grab it, its dead. What can i do with this... Call apple or just try to exchange it at some store.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as i really havent touched it for over 2 weeks because its always dead.
thanks
