Cliff Notes A bigger post count doesn't give you a bigger pen0r. ) <3
This thread made me LOL a lot even though it should be taken very seriously.
I'm rather surprised that a certain someone didn't have their posts highlighted all over that "BAD" section. Not naming names of course.
By the way, the moderators and Admin make this place so great.. you clever little buggers. <3
i try to stay out of moderating for the most part but this has really spiked up lately and it's bugging the shit out of me. i'm talking about worthless posts.
rather than belabor the point, i am going to enact a new rule
When posting or replying, ask yourself if your words contribute to the topic at hand in a meaningful way. If the answer is 'yes', post away. If it's 'no', please save us all the time and do something else.
in case you need further clarification, here are some examples--

You might want to check your links, you referenced the same thread in the GOOD and BAD.

VERY VERY BAD![=http//forum.freeipodguide.com/viewtopic.php?p=537092&highlight=#537092]VERY VERY BAD!
Aye, there he be. I knew it wouldn't be long. (Not you Killer, but your example of a very bad post)
Trying to keep people from posting useless things is exceedingly hard though because some people are just so stupid. No matter how many times you tell them that their post is useless they fail to see why. I pretty much gave up on reading/posting on forums because digging through all of the garbage is tedious and boring.
I think shitposting is very subjective. I'd probably select a good 75% of the posts here as shitposts.
That's just the way things go on a forum. You have to live with it.
I think forums are more of a discussion ground. Like a conversation between multiple people. With that in mind, I have to say that not everything said in a conversation is relevant to the topic nor is it contributory. Same with a forum.
I think forums are kind of like a "break from the world". Where one goes to discuss a topic of his liking, in our case it is freebie sites. Not everything is going to be 100% relevant.
I am, however, in no way promoting "shitposting". Posts that simply say "lol" or some other short meaningless phrase should indeed be avoided and not posted at all. I am just trying to prove a point that not everything will be completely relevant. And also, what's relevant to one person might not be to another and vice versa.
In short, I agree with Dr. Doom.
LOL, mines quoted under good post )
Do mods count because I am a notorious shit-poster...
