best ps3 game?

we have a ps3 and have to wait to play until christmas but i want to know which game i should get for it.

Need for Speed is amazing.

I am getting a ps3 really soon ( thanks to jkirk's brother ). What else am I going to want to buy besides an extra controller and resistance? I don't need an HDMI cable because my tv doesn't have that port.

Any other 'must-have' games out yet? Or anything I"m not thinking of?

i have resistance, tony hawk, and fight night. resistance is only fun online (40-player matches ftw), i could play tony hawk all day (and have), and fight night is fun to play with your roommates.

to the OP, do you have an hdtv? there are 63 blu-ray movies that are going to be released in the next 4 months that are worth looking at. hd-dvd has 21 coming out but only 7 are hd-dvd exclusive so you don't really have to worry about a format war anymore.

there's a new WWII game out called Blazing Angels that looks pretty cool.

it also came out for the xbox360, i may end up buying it.

I'm surprised it didn't get very good ratings. The game sounds awesome, but I haven't tried it out yet.

I was thinking about tony hawk, but it didn't get good reviews. Well I have a $100 visa gift card from 2dollardeals coming in the mail tomorrow or the next day, and I want to buy a ps3 game. Amazon has most games there for $49.99 with free shipping.

yeah but the difference was there was no other option at the time. You have the option now of buying a 360 and playing lots of good games. I think that was their point.

also resistance wasn't that great in my opinion. I opened one of my ps3's and played it through to see it in action. The game was repetitive and rarely challenging, it's just OK.

The game is really mediocre. I played it for a short while and was completely unimpressed.

I have a 360 and the only game i play on it is halo 2 shrug

They are gonna have to get guitar hero working on ps3 sometime.. I need my guitar hero.
