Hey i was just wondering about the credit card offers, i see a bunch of them are free, but if i complete an offer and they send me a card, can i just shred it, or do i have to go cancel it. I have never had a credit card before, i just use my debit card, much to easy.

First, if you have zero credit you will more than likely be denied. Second, you have to make a purchase with the card to get credit. After you used the card if you decided it wasn't for you, you should probably call the company to close your account... do not sign up for something if you intend to cancel right away though, that is fraud.

Might as well keep and use the card, and just pay it off every month. Great way to build your credit.

Also I remember mentioned that you shouldn't do many credit card offers as that if you have too many credit card it reflects negatively on your credit.

True statement...Not only having to many cards but even requesting a credit card by application will get you denied later down the road. I speak from very recent experience!

i think ill stay away from them right now. Dont need to be buying anything big just yet. maybe when i get my own place i get one.
