First of all, I've been waiting for this package for about 3 weeks now, because the company had to force my prepaid credit card order through, and now, the UPS tracking site said it was on time and should arrive today, and at 304 in the a.m. it was shipped, yet now at 730, it still hasn't gotten here! LOL. I just wanted to rant about this. D

At least you don't have to pay the "UPS tax", that Canadians do. FYI it isn't duty or custom fees, we pay those as well.

If it says shipped at 3 AM for my packages, I usually receive my package around 6-7 PM that evening.

UPS has tons of other places and houses to deliver packages to.

I received a small package and it came taped, as if they opened it, and nothing was inside!!!!!!! Is there anything I can do about this?

If it was a small box, it probably got smashed to smithereenze (sp?) while it was on the conveyor belt. Then got kicked around on the floor until someone picked it up and taped it back together. Whatever was inside is probably still sitting on the hub floor or in a truck.

If you got insurance for it, then of course you can call the co. you ordered from and get another one sent, although I don't know the exact procedure. You could also call your local UPS and tell them about your situation, but I don't know how much that will help you shrug Next time if your UPS driver drops off your package and it looks re-taped, don't let him leave until you've checked the contents. Even if your UPS driver darts off after ringing the doorbell, just chase him down wink

It was an envelope, maybe they thought it was money, but I opened a claim on ups.com, well see what happens. And the stupid UPS guy just screamed "UPS" and left running, by the time I got to the door, he was gone.

Surprisingly, stealing at UPS is pretty rare. At my hub they wand you down on your way in and out, and you have to have a property pass for everything. If someone did in fact still whatever was inside, they could easily track the person who did and take action.

No it wasnt one of those, it was a white thick envelope, no brand, and Ive heard many people stealing at usps. They only pass through a metal detector, and what was in my package did not include metal, so it was pretty easy to take.

Fucking UPS. Of course today's the day they actually deliver something in the afternoon, rather than at 630 PM at night. I was at work, and my mom was out with my sister. So they attempted to deliver the package, but no one was home, so they took it back. So my mom took me to the Customer Center where the package would be only to find out it closed 23 minutes before we got there. Now I have to wait until fucking Monday to get it and I ordered 2-day air shipping for it. Wow. (

Anyone know if the Customer Center is open on Saturdays? It didn't say if it is or not.

As far as stealing, it is possible but rare. There are hidden cameras everywhere, metal detectors, wands, and you have to have a property pass. Even if you did steal something, it would be very easy to track and you would be fired on the spot.

Your package probably busted open during transit or while being sorted (it's amazing how many people don't know how to pack a fucking package). At my hub, when something busts open it is sent to the tape ladies and they put it back together but shit often falls through the cracks or disappears. That's what insurance is for. Don't be naive and think that the process is simple because your package probably goes through 10 or 20 people before it arrives at its destination.

UPS is not the only one to have damaged boxes. I received a fishing pole and reel yesterday via FedX and the box was smashed and opened on one end and no one even bothered to tape it back up.

I love UPS...
It's because I've known my UPS guy for about 10 years now.
He's the best.
He delivers to us all the time.

The fedex guy however hates us...B/c my brother used to ship like TONS of boxes out, and this guy thought that being in a residential area would be an easy job. But because of my brother he had to take a bunch of packages back to the car all the time.
And sooooooooo, he hates us lol.

IMO UPS FTW!!!!!

Monday would mean if I got 3-day ground shipping. 2-day = friday. I had ordered it on Monday. Shipped out Wednesday.

They're all the same to me. Noone has ever lost my stuff, so I'm fine with all of them. If you aren't constantly checking the tracking information, you won't get your hopes up. It comes when it comes.
