It's a pimple like type of thing, it kinda hurts, and it's like a white dot in the middle.
You think it's a cold sore? I've never gotten anyting like that before. Tried popping it, and it just hurt even more.

LOL my husband has them, I however havent gotten them yet, lol. I always laugh at him and say haha herpes face. He got them as a child from people constantly fawning all over him, thats why most children get them at young ages I suppose, lol, plus they are more susceptible to things like that. My lips are a normal color, rofl. When you have limited light sources in the place a photo is being taken, the camera darkens some of the image. My lips look dark, but they're not.
I don't think it's a pimple, I tried popping it, and it hurts more than a pimple would.

Anyway - In all seriousness, you can give it to your partner even if you dont have a breakout. There is a diffence between oral and genital herpes
The difference is that herpes simplex 1 is generally what causes the oral lesions, and the lip lesions, where herpes 2, HSV-2, is generally the one that causes genital lesions. However, there is a significant overlap between the two, so you can have herpes 2 that infects and causes lesions in your mouth and you can have herpes 1 that causes lesions on sexual organs.

there are two types of herpes I believe and one most people have and can get from just touching the kind with cold sores on your mouth. then there is the other sexually transmitted type which can also have herpes on the mouth.

It looks like an infected salivary gland. I had one, which looked a lot like that, but a little farther in on my lip, and it kept getting bigger. It was there for a month or so, before I went to the doctors. He numbed me, cut it out and gave me 4 stitches. Lol. That's what I think it is. I would reccomend just going to the doctors though.

What Are the Treatments?

Cold sores can become complicated by a bacterial infection so it is also important to keep them clean by washing gently with soap and water as needed.
