Well, I don't thin it is anything serious but I thought I might as well post here. My mom and dad should be home later, so I can't do anything till the early afternoon. These popped up overnight, and it is pretty weird. I am a little concerned. Anyone know what they are? I am thinking about going to a doctor soon if my parents cannot figure it out.

Yup. You'll die in about 5 hours.

Just kidding. Uhh...it kind of looks like veins were pinched...so maybe that's why those marks are there. You could have slept on your hand without realizing it.

Are you in any pain?

Lucky for you, several members of the FIG community have Ph Ds. roll

Do they kind of look like dried blood or something under the skin? Like, almost black but not quiet? I get those on my heel during soccer season, it's nothing serious. I don't want to diagnose it wrong but I always thought they were busted blood vessels.

seems to be under the skin as there is no texture and i can't wash it off. hmmm this is weird, i know no one here has a PHD but I figured someone may know because they experienced it as well.

It's just dust on your camera lense.

Clean your camera and then they'll disappear.

Touch your penis and see if it spreads.

Some of you guys are dickheads. I just wanted to know if anyone else had this weird thing happen to them. Yeah, my penis is a giant black orange now. If you are going to mock me, don't post. Only a couple of you said anythig that was helpful at all. I realize no one is a doctor here, but hell you could be nicer about things. Part of the reason I asked was to see if anyone knew what it was before I was going to see a doctor. Thanks for mocking me.

Maybe you should consider your audience before posting. It's a seemingly arbitrary thread and while there's a slim chance one of us might have had what you have, none of us have any authority to tell you what it is or what to do about it.

J4320

What if you have melanoma? You might want to see a doctor because it could be cancerous.

Or it could just be some moles that will be there for the rest of your life. wink

I kinda posted that i knew no one was a doctor, but wanted to see if anyone knew about. So there is no need what so ever for dickhead comments. I can very well do the same to anyone of the posts here. How about instead of being a dickhead, don't post at all?

well, .... looks like broken blood vessels under your skin. it would be odd for all them to appear where they are though. no fever? no rashes elsewhere? do those spots hurt? Done any work with ur hands? I doubt u need to be seen asap unless it gets worse but those types of things though usually nothing to worry about can be symptoms of more serious things. i doubt they are serious though. if they are still there or bother u any way see a doc monday
if they hurt, if it spreads or especially if u have a fever call ur doc

Maybe some bug bit (bite, w/e it is) at night. I had a spider bite once and it wasn't pretty.

It also seems like your blood is clogging up in your veins.

Just some ideas.

Powerbook

02-12-2006 14:09:37

yeah thanks. Doesn't seem to be spreading, and it doesn't hurt. Strange. My parents think i am joking and put pen or marker all over my hand lol.

Yeah, that's what I said. I'm about 99% sure that that's what it is because like I said, I had them on the heels of my feet during soccer season. Now how they got onto your hand overnight, I don't know. Did you do any stressful work that day and then maybe you slept on your hand? I guess if you cut off circulation to your hand long enough then that could happen.

You should wait until your hands need to be amputated just to spite them.

Like, "I told you so! ...Assholes."

yeah, you are right about that. Honestly, why would I lie to them. Anyways yeah, i think i sleep under my left hand a lot maybe that's why. Hopefully they go away quickly. Imagine girls when I am about to touch them. "Hey let me touch your tits." "No, your hands are black!" How long did it take for it to go away Jkirk?

It looks like broken blood vessels under your skin.

You can poke your skin lightly with a sterile needle and drain the blood if this is the case. Have you done travelling in the recent past? (i.e. long sitting car/plane trips?)

nobody2000

02-12-2006 15:24:23

and you're looking someone with their MD, DO, MD PhD or something liek that, most of the time, a straight up PhD won't be able to help you.

MDs are clinical experts, PhDs are doctors of philosophy who conduct research (on more than philosophy, sciences are included of course). MD PhDs do both.

Finally someone helpful. ) Na no long trips. So a sterile needle? Will try that. If nothing happens, well it won't be that.

and what I said wasnt helpful ?
anyway, no need to drain them and introduce possible infection, however low of a chance that would be.

I had them forever but I kept doing the same thing that started them so they never had a chance to heal. I would just let them cycle out themselves instead of using a needle.

It actually doesn't look like it in the pictures, but it could possibly be folliculitis. I had a bunch of spots on my skin recently and that's what the doctor said it was, gave me some antibiotics and everything's fine. Your's looks a little different than mine, but I just wanted to sound smart

akalic

02-12-2006 22:30:06

have you been touching yourself recently?

Dave82

03-12-2006 04:58:51

the button is at the TOP.

My cousin had the same thing happen to him. He drove from Mount Vernon, NJ to Columbus, Ohio. Two days later he woke up with those spots.

Dont drain them until you see a doctor. The doctor might drain them, but more likely they will go away on their own. My cousin's went away in about two weeks i think.

I dont think they are "spreading" but rather more are coming up. My cousin had like two the first night and then when he woke up the second day he had several. They probably took a few days to show up. I remember started freaking out when they wouldnt wash off.

Just a question are they growing in size or stay about the same?

Powerbook

03-12-2006 05:41:57

thanks dave, they are staying the same. I think I had a couple more come yesterday. Doesn't look like anything that's posing a threat to my health, so should I just let them go away. They are annoying to look at, looks like I do not wash my hands.

YourGiftsFree

03-12-2006 08:16:49

I just had a dream I got these spots. (

But you should definatley go to a doctor and see what he says.

J4320

03-12-2006 11:22:07

They're gonna start traveling to your face. They'll keep multiplying and soon you will be black.

Dave82

04-12-2006 00:23:03

Call your doctor's office. It might be something common and they will tell you over the phone. That is unlikely to happen, but it is worth a shot. More than likely they will tell you they need to see it. [b7a5d060d20]Go see them to be on the safe side.[/b7a5d060d20]

Or go over one of your friend's houses whose parents are doctors.

I have lots of Chinese and Indian friends from CWRU whose parents are all doctors/surgeons at the CC. So anytime i need an Rx or dignosis for something not that serious i just drive to one of their houses. I have saved so much time and money this way.

I wasnt trying to make a sterotype about the whole Asian thing. But honestly i find it very true in my cases. My gf's dad is a physician and does not diagnose anything unless in his office. But Asians are cool about helping off thge record.

Worst case, ask the school nurse to take a look at it if you cant get an appointment immediately.
