Looks good. Too bad the interior isn't a little nicer though.

I just noticed he did make the VIN avaliable but i'm not a customer of carfax. I'm not sure how the site works but if its no cost to you would anyone be willing to check that for me?

That's hella nice for the price, dude. Although I would try to haggle him down to 8 flat since the body has so much mileage on it. That's crazy he put an Audi engine into that thing, that alone would cost around 2 or 3K. I would definitely take it but the only thing I'm not digging is the grille. Other than that, very nice car, IMO.

Yeah it's not a bad deal. At first I was going to say no, but I didn't see the upgrades. Something just looks fishy about it. I wouldn't be selling that if I had it.

One thing in my mind is why did he replace the paint, windshield and do an engine swap? That's big time money especially for the engine swap unless he knows a mechanic and even then the engine wouldn't be cheap. Might be questions you want to ask the seller.

Especially an Audi engine.

Yea if he replaced the paint on the hood bumper and a new windshield it sounds like it has been in a crash. I would also be worried about how well the engine swap was done because if not done right it could have some major problems down the road. Also the wheels on there are not BBS they are ASA which is a sister company of BBS but ASA's are about 1k cheaper than the BBS so hes trying to make the rims look more expensive than they are. Still nice rims tho. I would not get the car mainly because of the engine swap and the whole paint thing sounds shadey.

Also, I've never thought of this, who would service the car? Audi or VW? The engine is Audi but the car is VW... Maybe a dumb question but I've never personally had an engine swap before.

older cars such as this usually have expired warranties. In this case most likely your local mechanic shop. I know we have a couple mechanics where we live aside from the car dealerships.

Thanx guys!! yea the engine was replaced because of a timing belt on the old engine. The engine swap was done at an Audi dealer. The paint and windshield was from a accident involving a drunk female running from the cops and into the middle of the road. So yes, the vehicle i'm going to purchase hit a pedestrian. He had it repainted because his insurance was replacing the windshield and he figured he would redo the bit of paint that was damaged in the incident. He has documentation on allllll of the work done at VW or Audi dealers only. Basically he owns his own company, had way to much money to put into this thing (considering the mantainance at dealers), and i believe i'll be grabb'n it this week some time...

Is anyone able to help me out on the carfax Sich-E-ation
