I'm actually going to let this one fly (if it hasn't already been locked by the time I post this, but I'm actually typing out more than is necessary so the chances of another Mod/Admin locking this by the time I'm finished typing are higher since I'm basically just rambling and wasting my own time).

Alright thanks TSJ. I was unsure where to post because all the invite threads are old, and the ones jaketerrett posted are locked. I also didnt want to post in a thread that wasn't related to invites, so I made a new topic.

For future reference, we'd all rather BUMP'ing an old thread as opposed to creating a new one. It doesn't make a difference how old the other thread may be, in fact the older the thread, the more respect you get for searching for it in the first place and taking the time to BUMP it.

I have tvtorrents invites. It's one of the best torrent sites for strictly tv-shows. Invites are a pain because you only get them when you reach a ratio of 10/1 and it costs a gig of your ratio to send one !!!! Anyways I have a few I can dish out in exchange for other invites.

For an FTN invite I can trade a tvtorrent invite with a beefed up ratio (I believe tvtorrents allows me to send invites with anywhere from 1-10 gigs of credits to start out, costing me the same amount from my ratio). For an FTN invite I'll give at least 4 or 5 gigs of ratio for tvtorrents. all other invites will get you a 1 gig invite (which you can increase quickly by grabbing and seeding certain shows)

I only notice being able to set priorities, but I'd have to reset the next file after every individual completion. I want them to complete chronologically.

Maybe so he can learn to cut his food into smaller pieces. I know my mom would always get really mad when my bytes were too big. Anyways, since Tholek was nice enough to give me a Demonoid invite, whenever Demonoid decides to let me invite people, they are up for anyone here that wants it.

You download a .torrenturl==http://=http:///url file, and open it in a program such a uTorrent (thats the torrent client I use, highly recommended) - Then you are connected to other people who are sharing the file (many of them are most likely still in the process of downloading it) - these people are 'seeders' - You get parts of the file from them and the torrent client puts it together - Sometimes there will be thousands of seeders and you can get the file(s) you want very quickly, but sometimes only 1 or 2 people will be seeding, and it will take a long time, especially on a slow connection. There are public trackers where you can find torrents, such as isohunt dot com, but people prefer the private, invite-only trackers, such as oink, because there is more of a motivation for people to share files (aka seeding) - users want to get their ratios up, and the more they seed, the higher their ratios go - since people tend to seed more on private trackers, more files are available, and you can download them quicker. not very in depth, but I think I covered the basics - If you have any questions, feel free to pm me =)

You can get 5GB added to your upload amount by 'cashing out' with 250 Bonus Points (really easy to get 250). When you sign up you automatically get 1.91 GB as your upload amount.

I know, just busting your balls. Actually, most torrent sites, and any that are good, require activity. So any you are still in, make sure to refresh them every so often even if you haven't been using them. You never know when I sucky site may turn good later and having that account may come in handy.

I read a rumor that Demonoid was shutdown by the Canadian equivalent of either the RIAA or MPAA. They apparently go offline every so often though to change hosts and/or hosting countries so nobody seems to know for sure if the rumor is true, but Demonoid staff aren't commenting.
I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it were true, though. As I've said before these private trackers are barely any safer than public sources -- especially those like Demonoid that have open registrations or give out invites like candy. Even those like OiNK that seem to be more exclusive, have tens of thousands of members who -- like many of you -- have traded invites on internet forums and whatnot. I have no doubt that OiNK, Demonoid, and the other popular trackers have been infiltrated several times over by now, so all you little warez/muzic/moveez hounds out there need to watch your step. ;)

Has anyone read what happened with media-defenders, mininova, the pirate bay, miivi.org,etc with lawsuits going around and some RIAA site getting shut down. It was funny and all on Digg. lol

Yes, OiNK is gone forever as far as anyone knows.
Sega Dreamcast doesn't require a modchip to play backups.
In case you no longer own [X] console, you can download an emulator for that console and use the roms that are available.

I currently maintain a "Ratio 3.756 Uploaded 181.59 GB Downloaded 48.34 GB" at TorrentLeech, under username weaselgrater. I worked so hard finding invites when OiNK was around, and I'm having so much trouble this time.
