heres an edited email i sent them explaining the problem.. they probably wont do shit, but i had to do something. the message pretty much explains everything. what the hell am i supposed to do? this came out of nowhere.

i am extremely pissed over ebay's decision to freeze my account because they thought it had been hacked. i bought tickets to a football game on november 14 for this sunday. well work has come up and i had to sell the tickets at the last second. i listed them on ebay thursday night for a 1 day auction so that i could deliver the tickets locally since it was too late to ship. the auction would end friday night so that i had time to collect the payment and talk with the buyer about delivery. well i find out on friday that my account had been frozen and ebay has cancelled a recent auction and this current auction. out of the clear blue and with over 100 transactions they decide to freeze my account now?! they have caused me a lot of stress because now i am stuck with these tickets and out of the $167.50 i paid for them the other day on ebay. they also worried the buyer of the computer i sold in the recent auction becasue the auction has disappeared and we are in the process of receiving payment and sending the item. i now have to explain that everything is all right, yet still face the potential accusation that i have scammed the buyer because of the sudden deletion of the auction.

what the hell am i supposed to do now? i relisted the tickets already using the buy it now option only. someone bought them, but it turns out it is a deadbeat bidder and they have no intention of paying. so i relisted the tickets again (saturday) which is way too late becasue the game is tomorrow at 1 pm EST. i have no buyers and have run out of time. i am unable to attend the game and couldn't sell the tickets because of a bogus fraud prevention glitch in your system. this the worst experience i have ever had with ebay. i want an explanation and compensated for this mess.

What do you mean? Craigslist is perfect for a situation like his, where he needs to sell tickets fast. I'm trying to save him his $167.50. Ebay is not going to help him before he needs to sell his tickets.

[b1cb0027022]why did they think it was hacked?? [/b1cb0027022]

The very least they should do is credit your listing fees for the ones they pulled. That really sucks man. But i'm sure there is nothing you do because you probably signed off to it in their 38948302 pages Terms of Agreement.

You'll probably get a letter in a few days, "After reviewing your concern we would like to refer you to Section 453.8 blal blah...."

i talked to the guy in live help and asked him the very same question. he basically said they werent allowed to say why but it must have been a really good reason. they also said they can freeze it if they feel someone is attempting to hack it.. how they figure that is beyond me. if it by mistyping a password multiple times then you should be able to do that to anyone's account until they freeze it.

well this just took a fucking turn for the worst. the buyer of the computer panicked because ebay sent them a message saying i was part of fraudulent activity. so in turn he/she called my local police to figure out whats going on and contact me.. now im going to have the fucking police contact me about something i never even did. once again fuck ebay!

your buyer is a fucking dumb[b8837420ba3]ass[/b8837420ba3]. Why the hell would he pull a move like that? "Oh, I'm going to call the local police!" Why the fuck do the police want to be involved in this?

i dont know but this is bullshit and out of hand. instead of contacting me, they call the police. now i get to have the police knocking on my door asking what the hell is going on. of course they wont understand any of this because with my luck the officer will know nothing about ebay or the situation.

it had nothing to do with that. besides, selling tickets on ebay is perfectly legal.. for one thing there isnt even any restrictions like that in ohio. also i only log on to my account at home also. never anywhere else. so ip tracking is out the window.

ive got a 100+ perfect feedback rating too.. why would i try to scam someone with over 100 transactions and my real address on there already?
