Wii Preorders At Toys R Us Today

I've been following this closely on Slick Deals, at first it was posted two weeks ago that they would be taking preorders today, then everyone went into their TRU two weeks ago and everyone working said they wouldn't be. I guess yesterday people started asking again, and managers were aware and it was true, they would be taking preorders. It's in an ad that's supposed to be released today. My TRU opens at noon today, not sure if that's a nationwide thing or not, but yeah, they should be taking preorderes.

Shit. It's Sunday. My county laws prohibit some stores to be open on Sundays. -_-

I thought the Wii preorders were two weeks ago though, I saw it in their flyers.

Some TRU allowed preorders two weeks ago. A handful of them did got them. I don't think u could get much profit selling a wii on ebay. Stores like BB and Target will get plenty for launch day.

well you better sell the pre-order because when you have it in hand it wont be shit.

I'm sure you will make $100 at least if you get it and list it the day it comes out.

I got my preorder! I got there about 45 minutes bedfore they opened, and nobody was outside the store, just about 8 people chillen in their cars. At about quarter of, a guy went and stood in front of the door, so I went and then eventually there were about 30 people in line. They opened, I went in, and it was only the first 10 people getting preorders, and I was 2nd in line ) ) )


I got my Wii preorderd and 3 games, might list on eBay today, or wait....decisions decisions.

I guess i'll go grab one, but I still say there won't be that kind of a demand for the wii this holiday. You have to realize 3 things.

1) They are releasing 4.5X as many wii's as they did 360's last year, and 10X as many PS3's Sony is releasing. I don't think all at once either, so if you don't get it on friday then you can just go try next friday, and next friday.

2) Because the cost isn't so high on it, the spoiled rich kids whose parents pay $1000 for those things won't be that interested in it.

3) If someone goes for a wii and can't grab one, they might just as soon buy a 360 which will be easy to get, then pay $500 for a wii. Last year no one had that option.

Because of 3 i'm thinking it might affect the ps3's also, but there are half as many as last years 360, so those factors may cancel each other out.

So if you can sell your pre-order for $500, or even $400, DO IT!

What the hell, TRU are doing them again? I got a pre-order when they made pre-orders for the PS3. Yeah sell ur pre-order right away, my auction is at 530 right now with 1 hour + left )
