i know some people here live in the area. i was psyched watching the game last night. wish i could have gone. funny thing is my dad went back to school and who woulda thought a guy at his age would be back at school let alone at rutgers when they are 9-0 and beat the #3 team in the country.

yeah a doubt a national title run either. much better football team than my undergrad school though

I thought they looked awesome beating Louisville last night. One thing though, they got really lucky with that kick at the end. I doubt they could have held on in overtime and that Louisville player who was offsides really sealed the win for them. I can't wait until Rutgers and West Virginia meet in a few weeks.

u have to wonder though. Ito is a solid kicker. there is no doubt he saw the guy jump offsides and that may have made him miss a kick he normally makes.

Eh, I don't know. I know he is reliable and stuff but when they showed the replay you could tell he just hit it wrong there was no increase in speed or hook after the ball was snapped he just placed his foot wrong. Nevertheless, I was very happy to see Rutgers win. What you think about he Rutgers/WV match-up? You think you guys can stop Pat White and Steve Slaton? roll

If Rutgers' story doesn't make you feel good, you're not a fan of college football.

oh i know, i was joking. the only ones who do not pay their players to play are schools who do not offer scholarships, like my alma mater.

some interesting upset yesterday!
cal and auburn = no title shot

some shifting in the polls. depending on which one u look at rutgers is 8 or 9 or 4 (allstate espnu)

double_d

The computers had Rutgers at 2 or 3! If it was up to the computers, they would have Rutgers and Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl!

Edit Of course that is if the season were to have ended on Saturday.

tylerc

13-11-2006 14:37:38

Wrong.

The only real team ND has played thus far this year is Michigan, and they lost. It wasn't close, either, Michigan won by 14. I'll also give ND credit for the Ga Tech win, but who else have they played? Stanford, MSU, Purdue, Penn State, UCLA, UNC, Army, Navy, Air Force? Not to mention the fact they almost LOST to MSU, a team that Indiana University beat by 25. If they can win against USC AT USC, then I will be impressed, but that's a big if.

Aurelius

i'm pumped for next weeks Cal vs USC game. Funny thing today in my AP US class. My teacher didn't grade our tests because he was "drinking his sorrows out" after the Cal loss so he just gave us all A's. If Cal beats USC next week, he's going to let us all out of class for a week if we write a paragraph on the game. I'm pretty sure he's not kidding either because he kicked some kid out of class for wearing a Stanford sweatshirt being that my teacher is a hardcore Cal fan. I'm sure it'll get outshadowed by the Michigan vs OSU game but it'll still be a quite a game. Congrats to the Rutgers people for moving up. Personally, I think they're a better team than USC but not Michigan so #3 would be the right place for em.

tylerc

13-11-2006 17:55:36

Rutgers is NOT a better team than USC, lmao.
