Hey try calling 1-888-BEST-BUY and asking if you are definitely going to get it shipped out on the 17th. You should of chose same day shipping because it's only $7 more.

At amazon some are saying they called and were told its legit and others are being told that its a glitch. I'll be pissed if it's a glitch....

I called Best Buy Corporate 612 291-1000. they informed me that it was true that they were going to cancel all orders but their minds have been changed and he told me to call the bestbuy.com reps to check on my order. I did so and the bestbuy.com reps told me that my order was VALID and it's will be HONORED. the only glitch is that it's all going to depend on the allotment Sony gives them. The pre-order is going to be on a "first come, first serve" basis. I feel they were given a number and the online pre-order was cut off at that number. Until they physically have the consoles in their warehouse they have to have a "grey" approach to this situation (given how many times console quantity have been reduced over the years). If all goes as planned, the 10,000 (guestimate) that pre-ordered Saturday night are good to go (including me!!!)

Yeah, same goes for the Wii. I think that was a mistake on Best Buy's end. I found out that at the Best Buy near me...you can't get in line until like 6 AM, and they will have security to prevent it. So...it's like...you have to wait in a line to get in line. P
