iPod Invisible Shield - (bestskinsever.com)

Does anyone have any experience with the full body invisible shield for 30gig iPods from this site? I recieved my in the mail today, but now it says in the application instructions that I need to apply it in a [be05218aa43]soap solution![/be05218aa43] I want protection from scratches and shit but I mean why the hell would I want to put soap and water on my iPod? ...
It later says to use a "credit card" to squigee out water and air bubbles...wtf.

If anyone has used this or is using it now please comment or PM me and tell me if its actually safe and works well. Any other application tips welcome. )

you use a very smal amount to apply it, it is fairly simple and pretty safe

I have it, I love it. Its safe, just dont overdo it

The soap makes it possible to move the skin around to fine-tune positioning as you apply it. Otherwise the adhesive would stick immediately and you wouldn't be able to position it properly. You use a very small amount of soap and once the water evaporates, the skin is stuck tight to the iPod. It's not a big deal, it's the same concept used to apply vinyl decals to autos, models, etc.

BTW I just got my BestSkinsEver skin for my 80GB 5G the other day, I need to go steam up the bathroom and apply it myself. )

IDK, use a measuring cup if u have one at home. Ur mom should have one.

LOL, 10oz is 1.25 cups. It doesn't have to be exactly 10oz ya know, that's just the proportion of soap to water they suggest you use.

how good are these shields, cuz its either this or the Contour Showcase 5G Case

I bought an InvisibleShield a year ago for my 30gb video and I have been recommending it to EVERYONE I know since! It's made of the same material they put on helicopter blades to protect them from debris while spinning at such high speeds (check out the demonstration video at the site... google it) and it cost $30, but is well worth it as a case is simply not enough to protect it. I put my iPod in a case day one only to find months later it still managed to accumulate a ton of scratches from particles of dust trapped between the case and the face! If I had applied the InvisibleShield as soon as I got it, the iPod would still be in factory condition. Unfortunately, the skin has began to bubble up from being so tightly squeezed into the case I got... but I still wouldn't own an iPod without it. Secondly, the InvisibleShield I bought actually came with a small spray bottle of solution! In summary, [b16048c6430]EVERYONE NEEDS ONE OF THESE SKINS FOR YOUR IPOD... A CASE ALONE WILL NOT SUFFICE![/b16048c6430]

Agreed, but just so's you know, the BestSkinsEver skin is virtually IDENTICAL to the InvisibleShield skin, and they're only $6-$8 each. ;)

these are amazing, I Love Mine! No scratches and I don't even use another case for it anymore...

I have a bestskinsever shield and it's perfect for my nano. The soap and water thing isn't a big deal, just don't overdo it. I use the skin and the nano case that came with it - it's a perfect combination. D

i have literally taken my key and hacked at my ipod.. it leaves a few scratches in the invisible shield.. but somehow they dissapear by the next day

I'm thinking about getting one myself. Any1 have a psp one from bestskinever? Is it the same stuff?
