They just signed Kiefer to a huge $40 million deal for 3 more seasons.

I stand corrected.
Last season wasn't all that great to me and they killed off so many of my favorite characters (Tony, Michelle, David Palmer, Rudy, the nerdy computer guy, RUDY!) plus barely any Elisa Cuthbert. They need to redeem themselves this year...

I agree, it was one of the weaker seasons.
Season 4 was great; it would be difficult to top that.
I felt that Season 5 was sort of a transition so they could set up new character's, get rid of some really old character's. For some reason, I also had the feeling the writers were stalling.

I liked the last one.
I think 1 and 3 were probably the best so far though.
Judging by the trailer for number 6, it looks kinda shite. THe best part is that Jack has a beard.

The season looks kinda lame because Jack must be sacrificed to save others. Where have we seen that before... And it also looks good because he is being traded by the chinese government and they dont waste any time with him escaping or anything. This way he can get back into action right away.
