I have a few extra iPods and I want to know what kind of store credit I would recieve for them. Last time I went to the nearest apple store (10 miles away), they told me I could get store credit for those iPods. I forgot to ask them if I can keep the store credit(take some reciept home and buy something with it later) or I would have to spend it right away. Does anyone have any experience with this?

If the store allows you to get store credit, they will put it on an Apple Gift card, which you can use at any time in-store or online. The cards don't expire.

they are more likely to do it now since the holidays are coming up. They give you the cost of the ipod + tax.

Will they give anything for broken ones? I have an old one and I think I read somewhere that they'll give you [i7c93b67fd6]something[/i7c93b67fd6] for it.

I think the best you can do with a broken iPod is get 10% off a new iPod.

Just to make sure before going to the Apple store again, if I return 2 iPods for store credit, they should give me some type of certificate that I can use towards another purchase in the future right?

yea i know....why would any store charge restocking fees for a brand new item? They could obviously resale with no problem but for an open item, they gotta ship it back to the manf.

Apple do charge restocking fees if u return an open item.
