is anyone else psyched to see this movie? it really looks funny as hell. i was watching some borat videos on youtube and was laughing hysterical at some of the stuff on there. a lot of people are criticizing the movie because it is offensive.. but they can shove it for all i care. if you cant take some crude humor than you must have a stick up your ass. he likes to joke about jews, but he is jewish himself. sascha cohen is a very talented comedian... the characters he plays are all funny and very well played. if you enjoy stuff like jackass then you will enjoy this.. i suggest you see it.

That's the second [i29b276b4af]American[/i29b276b4af] series. I meant the original UK one. The link pointed me to the answer though

From what I read, only highlights from the original series were released on DVD in the UK too. I guess torrents are the only option.

OldManWrigley

Luckily it's the one right down the street from me )

I probably won't go today because they'll probably be checking ID's again, so I'm just going to go Monday (they only check ID's on weekends)

cant you just ask some young adult outside to buy you a ticket then pay him or her for it? usually they will do it. thats how we used to do it at our theatre. they check the id when you buy a ticket, nothing else from there. im not sure how yours is set up though.

OldManWrigley

At my theater they don't check ID when you buy the ticket, the actually have a guy right outside the doors to the movie checking it. Unless you can find someone to pose as your parent or legal guardian, you're screwed.

Yeah this film does look good. He's been on Conan twice in the last week or so I think, both good interviews. He was also on Jonathon Ross in the UK which was also really good. The both touched each others' Chrum. lol

The original series in the UK was really good. I didn't realise they hadn't shown it over here.

I remember when he was on a show called The Eleven O'clock Show (along with Ricky Gervais before he became really famous too) about 6 or 7 years ago. Him and Gervais were about the only two people that people watched it for because they were both controversial.

Also, there's supposed to be some Anti-Semitism in this movie, but SBC is actually Jewish himself which makes it alright. wink

[spoilera531a72850]There is some anti-semitism towards the beginning w/ the running of the Jews lol then again later when they were at that Jewish couple's house and they try to give them money after the couple "transfigured" into cockroaches ) Then again, there were some iffy parts with the nude chase and pictures of his son lol [/spoilera531a72850]

He opened SNL for Hugh Laurie a couple of weeks ago, and when Hugh brought him on for the goodbye, he did that crotch sniff to him. They were zooming out, and cut to commercials quickly (like always) so it almost looked like he was giving him head. I nearly crapped myself laughing at that.

His interviews are great, but I get slightly annoyed after awhile, as he keeps recycling the material. Like on O&A, when he was a a lost for words at moments. He doesn't handle that go with the flow conversation. They have to set him up, just like on Letterman. Still hilarious though.

TSJ, if you can find a torrent of series 1, let us know. I scoured the net, but can't find it. I also heard of the 11 O'clock show awhile ago, but never caught it. Apparently Ali G was born out of that show. Might be worth looking for.
