Razr V3 to V3i? Is it worth it?

Thinking of doing freepay phones to get the v3i, I have the regular ole razr, I know the v3i has itunes, better camera so I want to know in your mind is it worth it?

BTY, what's a good bluetooth headset for the razr?

The four-leter phone line is getting cluttered up with RAZRs. Motorola should know by now that the RAZR is proprietory garbage and are still charging money for them. A two-year old phone should be, at most, $50 with a Cingular contract and NOT $100+ that they're charging.

Take everything you liked about the RAZR (Okay, nothing much if you consider the clunky firmware, crappy camera, etc.). Add a memory card slot, an MP3 player that looks like the iPod's menu, add lag to that MP3 player when it comes to choosing songs/going from menu to menu, and upgrade the camera to 1.3 MP.

Does it sound good? I don't think so. Not even the RAZR MAXX or any of the new RAZRs appeal to me at all.

Get a PEBL =D You can unlock that thing like nothing.

Finally, someone who realizes that motorola DOES suck and probably just ran out of great ideas so they stuck to once concept.

(Im a cell phone guy...My brother owns a store and i help him run it so i know a bunch about phones)

i think the razrs too unpopular and the next problem is that theres too many people with the phone.

IF you have a digicam, theres no nead for a "sharper" camera on a cell phone...until two years from now when camerea MP's are like 6 or so on cell phones. Too bad right now the max is 2 and average is 1.3.

Sure its an "all in one" phone but its better to just have three different high tech gadgets than one crap all in one.

samz, the max is 3.2 via Sony Ericsson K790a in America, while the overall world max is about 5.0 MP =P

Get something Non-Motorola if you can =D

Sony Ericsson has the coolest phones and brings (most of them) to the 'States (eventually). Look to import from LG, Sharp, or other companies if you want an overseas phone.

I almost got a Razr when I signed up with Cingular about 6 months ago.. thank goodness Fugger talked some sense into me. I have a Nokia 6682 D

Those phones ain't reasonable, I need to do a site to afford to pay $400.00 for a phone. I like that toshiba the most but will it work with cingular? And I'm not getting a new contract so I want to switch sim cards and make this work.

The 6270 is a quality phone and for a user who's not looking for the highest quality and most feature-rich phone; then it's an ideal choice. It's actually one of the many phones I might grab next - I've yet to own a Nokia slider, sadly.

Anything in the Nokia N series are just simply amazing. If you can budget yourself at around $400-500 I'd shoot for an N80 and you'd be satisifed with the wide array of features it offers. Built-in WiFi, excellent camera, upgradeable, and apparently takes some of the best quality movies given it's limited camera capabilities for a cell phone of course.

yea, I suppose you're already talked out of a razor but anyway, my family all had razors, 6 of them (my dad has a blackberry so he didn't get a razor) and we all hated them. They would all glitch like crazy, lag, not ring with phonecalls even in full service, shit like that. They were awful. We all traded them in for new phones. I'm now very happy with my Samsung SCH-A930, takes micro sd cards, has a swivel cam, mp3s, bluetooth, it's a great phone, has amazing battery life too.

Swivel is so 2005. Slider is in.

I've had a RAZR for over a year now, and I've been generally satisfied with it. Several months ago, I discovered motomodders.net[=http//motomodders.net]motomodders.net; I had never realized just how moddable the RAZR is. All complaints about clunky or slow navigation can be fixed if you learn how to mod your phone (it's not difficult). In fact, one of the few complaints I had with the RAZR was that it was a little quiet, but it's now possible to mod your phone to make the speaker louder. There are also hundreds of different skin/themes available for the phone (if you're into that kind of thing).

I don't know about the rest of you, but I absolutely hate having something bulky and heavy in pockets. Nothing beats the RAZR in that respect.

So the V3i is a better version of the V3? I'll take it. I know enough not to expect great photos from either phone, and it would be nice to have some MP3's stored on a transflash card in the newer phone. Plus, I know that I can fix any problems on the phone by checking out the modding site mentioned above.

One thing to note Don't pay Cingular's absurd price for the phone ($250). With a new contract, you can have it for $99 from CompUSA, or about $120 for extending your contract.

I haven't gotten the V3i yet, but I'm still trying to convince Cingular to give me one for cheap or else I move on to Verizon. 8)

I'll still deciding but I actually like the Razr, I will admit it's too damn common but I'll see what's best. I'll see how much I can sell mine for on ebay and then decide.

I love the reception on the razr but I hate the fact that everyone has one.

Like I said before, I need bluetooth, mp3s and something small to fit in my pocket.
