Buffalo, NY got smashed with 2 feet of snow last night. Thousands without power. I was driving home last night from Buffalo and I felt like I was in a star wars movie in warp drive driving 60mph with the snow comin right at me.

Time for you to take a vacation to Alaska ;)

Not even the mountains have any snow on them.

Consider yourself lucky because it's suppose to be warmer this year with El Nino and all.
Also, you (hairyferry) live in Buffalo? If I were jy3 and I got pulled over by a cop I'd be like licoughlihairyferrylicoughli lol.
The police officer would probably be wondering wtf I'm doing. lol

That's all I get from any of his posts shrug
I know we laugh at Buffalo now, but in a few months (mostly) everyone will get getting smashed with at least a flake (

I just find it [bacd1279bac]very[/bacd1279bac] strange that it hasn't snowed in Alaska yet, it hasn't even reached freezing temp yet.. It's 48 degrees now with a few clouds. I thought it would be always snowing (or at least always nippy) when I came up here but I was wrong... The weather outside is mild... Al Gore was right.
I have a feeling in 5 years, Alaska will be the Next Hawaii. ?

Its sprinkling here but it was raining in Hollywood when I went tonight.
thanks for thinkin of me guys )
power came on at 3am last night after being out since 1230am overnight thursday. 2 feet is right! trees down everywhere. the worst was that the snow is melting so everyones basements are flooded. my ftp server was in 2 inches of water. i had not thought it would flood that early after the s torm (while we were using the snowblower) but i am pissed.
thank god the power came on.
slept like shit last night and i have a yearly test today. may end up not goign and making it up considering there is still a driving ban in the northern suburbs.
i will post pics
just some interesting notes
li>380,000 without power
li2 feet of snow
liearliest measurable snowfall since records have been kept
limost snow in octobre ever i think in a storm and maybe in the whole month of octobre
li> 70000 homes in the city of buffalo without power which is like 80% of the homes
liwho knows how many in the burbs (me)
listate of emergency
lifederal disaster area
this is crazy!
also, the reason only buffalo got this weatheris that it was lake effect. here in buffalo you can have a mile wide area of snow and peope 5 minutes from u can get nothing while u get a foot
