I made a DVD for school, and all the tv's there are not widescreen, and I burnt it in 720x480 format, what resolution could I use to make it full screen?> Thanks!!

720x480 is not widescreen, it's almost standard 43 NTSC. 852x480 is widescreen DVD resolution. It should play just fine like it is, the player and/or TV should handle scaling for you.

I don't think you can avoid going off screen. Doesn't like TVs have all different resolution and properties?

When authoring DVD's for television, you have to take into account the overscan region and visible frame. All CRT's display beyond the edges of the visible tube (called overscan), so you have to frame your content within the visible area. Most DVD authoring applications should show borders around the standard visible areas, and you should keep your content within those borders.
