Alrighty, I know this is beyond basic for most of you. BUT, how do I get a copyrighted tape to DVD? PM me privately if you prefer. Thanks!! Will give ya daily Karma for a week if you are the one to get me through this task!!!

Wow, been awhile. I seem to remember using some kind of RF modulator to dub VHS from deck to deck back in the day, but phono cords to a video card input might work. Not sure, not done it in this direction before. (

or you can buy a TV Tuner and output your VCR to the USB Tv Tuner, and you can burn the file to DVD.

If you want to buy my tv tuner, it's got s-video in and rca inputs and what have you, you can use video out on your tv and video in through your video card or tv tuner and just record it, then burn it to dvd

"Macrovision" is the word you're looking for, not copyrighted. (Although it's a tool used for it)

Wouldn't a capture card work? Hook your capture card up to your TV and then just record the VHS onto your computer in DVD Format.. then burn it on a DVD.
