I built my own Poker table (Pics Inside) (UPDATED MORE PICS)

So, I was in the market for a poker table. All the ones I found were either really really cheap or the nice ones were like 1200-1500 bucks. So I decided to make my own. Here are some pics, the only thing not done is I have 10 steel cupholders that are going in that I haven't gotten yet. This table is oak, with a 2" foam rail, velveteen playing surface. There is 10 coats of poly, with 2 coats of cherry stain. If anyone wants I can build them one at my cost plus shipping. Send me a PM.
O yeah the table is 4' x 8'
I recently added the Cup holders and the Money paddle with the really quickly made money box...

It took about 20 hours, the cup holders will look nice and keep drinks from spilling all over for those long drunken nights of playing poker. It cost somewhere between 350-400. But, there are ways were I can get the price down, like not using oak, using different rail foam, not using velveteen, using a different fabric.
This is also my first one, there are a few places I messed up but the next one should be flawless. I have 2 more that I'm working on at the moment. They can be any color, they're totally customizable.

yeah it looks pretty good. How sturdy is it, like leaning on the edge, does it move the table?

nope, it's supposed to be rated of holding 600lbs. It's very sturdy, there is another 4x8 plywood screwed under it all to help support everything.

Looks nice, good job. The only part that I don't like are those skinny little metal legs |

yeah, that's prolly the only thing i don't like either. That is my first table but the next one will be having these legs stained with the cherry color

But also, the table is meant to be able to fold up and put away if needed.

We just remodeled a room in our house and it now has much more room (needs something in it) so I think I might build one of these.

Not trying to steal your thread just wanted to post a pic of the one I built a year ago, If I would have had the right space I might have made the racetrack style.... Looks like it was done well, PM Me for a building website where you can get some unique touches to it )

I hate playing at those kind of tables, I'd rather play at a normal dinner table than one of those tiny ones

It's really nice playing on a 8 foot table. There is a ton of room!

if you were refering to mine it is over 60" across, so it isn't like the 48" toppers that you can buy, it fits 8 comfortablly...
I like the 8' tables at the casino's, but wouldn't fit as well in that room...

Hairy,
That is an amazing table, I tried making one last month using building plans off the internet, and it came out horrible. 200-250 dollars in materials down the drain. And still no poker table!!!! Your table looks amazing!!! I think I want one
