Mathematica Software by Wolfram Research

I suppose this would mostly pertain to engineering majors

Has anyone used Mathematica? Or downloaded the trial version?

It is pretty expensive, even with the student discount and it's not like you can get an illegal copy. I was wondering if it was worth purchasing?

i do know many higher level teachers use it

differential equations and above

anything below it really isn't worth it, whats the price ?

I had to use Maple in College for upper level math stuff.....It's easy to get a pirated version, and I think it's like a 100 bucks to get it legit. It's different from mathematica i've heard, but I never used mathematica....

i needed some EC in my calc class.

So hooked my teacher up. Im still in HS.

I got some versino off gnutella; it was like collaboration of mathematica 5, maple 9, and some other shit.

is that a software that does math problems for ya?
