My gf needs to write a personal statement to get into grad school for psychology (the specific area is called the Experimental Research Program). There are not guidelines etc, it just says personal statement and due Jan 31st 2007.

She is meeting with an advisor for help, but i thought i'd ask bc a lot people here had to write personal statement to get into school. And it would be good info for those who have yet to do it. I personal was basically pre-accepted into my undergrad and for law school you dont need a personal statement, just a high LSAT score (and money of course). So i dont know what they look for.

I dont know what they want or what they would look for or how to connect it to experimental research psychology. If anyone could help or shoot ideas my way it would be greatly appreciated. I would gladly reciprocate by helping you with anything school related that i could.

Just see http//forum.freeipodguide.com/viewtopic.php?t=46366 if you dont believe me

Thanks )

My personal statement included what made me who I am today and why I was pursuing the graduate course in question (Historic Preservation) the point od this statement is so the people reveiwing the application can get an idea about who you are besides merely looking at your application. I also recommend an interview.

Give her this link It really helped me at the time.
