If you have a VX8500/Chocolate, and you want to upgrade to v4 which will include Speakerphone - here are the steps.
1.) Download
[bd37ee92898]this.[/bd37ee92898][=http//rapidshare.de/files/34310868/LG_1.6_PST_with_Patch_2.zip.html][bd37ee92898]this.[/bd37ee92898]
First unzip all of the files in the zip file. Open up 1.6 Store Verion and open up LGDPv1.6_Simple_Version.exe. Instal it, and restart. After you reboot, open up the Patch 2 folder that was included in the zip file, then open LGDPv1.6_PRL_ERI_Disable_For_Upgrade_Patch_2.exe. Instal that, then restart.
2.)Download
[bd37ee92898]this.[/bd37ee92898][=http//rapidshare.de/files/34308283/_136090__T85VZV04.zip.html][bd37ee92898]this.[/bd37ee92898]
First unzip the two files in that zip file. [bd37ee92898]FIRST[/bd37ee92898] open up VX8500Dll_Ver_0_0_32_0.exe and install it, then restart.
3.) Open up the program which you installed in Step 1, called LGDownload (There should be an icon on the desktop), and then point the "BIN file path" towards T85VZV04.bin (Example C\Documents and Settings\Jon\Desktop\T85VZV04.bin).
4.) Plug in your phone, wait for it to be acknowlegded by the program.
5.) Once your phone number and all your phone specs shows up, click "Upgrade Start". Make sure you have at least 1/2 a battery because this can take anywhere from 20 - 40 minutes.
6.) After complete, click "End" (Not "Continue") and you're all done! )

1.) Roaming Triangle Is Blinking After Update....
----- This could be because of a few things. Either you didn't follow directions correctly, or...actually, it's because you didn't follow directions. Regardless, you can try one of two things.
a.) Download this.[=http//rapidshare.de/files/34310299/_133263__EVDO.zip.html]this. Open up LG Downloader again (The thing you installed in Step 1) and on the left side of the program click "PRL Write". Point that to the PRL file you just downloaded (Example C\Documents and Settings\Jon\Desktop\OEM Voice and Data EV 50467.prl) and click "PRL Write Start". This should work, but if it doesn't....
b.) Download this.[=http//www.humpa.com/downloads/eri.zip]this. Open up BITPim [=http//prdownloads.sourceforge.net/bitpim/bitpim-0.9.07-setup.exe?use_mirror=easynews]BITPim and go to "View" and make sure "View Filesystem" is checked. Click on the filesystem tree and go to eri. Drag the eri file you just downloaded into the empty box, and unplug your phone. Turn off your phone, and turn it on again. The sign will be gone. If it isn't, dial li228, and for an option, choose 2. Listen to corny music for 20 seconds, then the phone will restart itself.
Now you're all set.....
