I think I may actually get one, for free of course.

Speaking of which, I predict about 4 new sites coming out within the next few days (maybe tonight) offering this.

Also, anyone know what capacities they're coming out with?

Looks way better than iPod. While Apple wraps their iPods in stickers saying "Don't steal music!" MS Offers sharing on theirs lol I assume you can't keep the track though.

It will also have VoIP/Phone capability in future firmware upgrades... From the sounds of it, I'm guessing you will be able to call other Zune users via Wi-Fi.

Well you can only keep OTA songs for up to 3 plays (or 72 hours) whichever comes first... I don't think they'll be too concerned about it since you'll have the option of buying the song from Zune Marketplace after it locks.

I told myself I wouldn't be interested in this but that screen is tempting (not that much bigger than the ipod's but every little bit helps) and the battery life for video playback isn't bad either.

You really shouldn't pre-judge everything...

[quote93d5c3fa75]can anybody find how long the predicted battery life is?[/quote93d5c3fa75]

12 hours music / 3.5 hours video

Now you hardcore iPod fans might be touting "iPod has better battery life"... But remember The Zune has a bigger screen and Wi-Fi.

bonehead848

28-09-2006 20:10:26

[quote27d3d69949]Now you'll get 75 percent more battery life with both sizes--that means you'll get up to a rated 3.5 hours of video battery life for the 30GB version and up to 6.5 hours for the 80GB. Audio playback is, strangely, the same--that is, up to 14 hours for the 30GB and 20 hours for the 80GB;[/quote27d3d69949]
so the zune really doesnt have bad battery life compared to the 30 gb ipod, but it still is not enough (

Yeah thanks roll. I guess the fact that I wasn't interested in the zune before means I prejudge everything.

This thing is going to be awesome! Some people think it's stupid that it has more buttons than an iPod but this will make it easier to play games.
