I turned on my monitor and its all messed up. If you have ever taken a piece of plastic and bent it back and forth a few times so where it is all stretched out and white....well that's what it looks like. I tried de(re?)-gaussing my screen but nothing seems to fix it, andy ideas, I really dont want to get a new monitor.

Sounds like the monitor is toast. This is a CRT I presume?

Ooh, definitely sounds like toast then. Sorry.
BTW degaussing only works on CRT's, hence my assumption. Not sure what you tried, but if it was some sort of external degaussing with a magnet or motor, it wouldn't work on an LCD anyway. ;)
