I want to test out some usenet hosting servers. If anyone knows anywhere I can get a free trial or anything, without being charged, please PM me. I want to see how fast it would go on my connection, and see what type of files I can get. That way, I can sign up for the annual plan.

Here's a list from one of my clients, but unfortunately I can't export it as text at the moment

The problem is that I never was able to find a complete archive of anything I wanted on free servers. There's usually something missing. Since I can't afford to get an account, I basically gave up on usenet.

If anyone finds a [i112c5af772]good[/i112c5af772] free server, let me know too. )

your ISP may have a free usenet, they are sometimes limited to a few GBs a month though, some are unlimited. You may want to check with your ISP or google for the information.

Does anyone know if Cox does?

yes, but what i've found out was that most ISPs limit the speed and you can only download around a gig a month. Its not even worth it to set it up.

But it is worth it to pay $15 a month to use a third party server with an unlimited amount of up/downstream usage.

Yeah, thought you might have meant that, but if you were wanting to try things out before signing up with anyone, those might have been worth a shot.

Just pay for it. Your speed will be around the max you can download at.
