Check out some Xbox 360 auctions and that should give you an idea...Sort of. I would start mine @ $.01 and let them bid it up.

hate to break it to ya but i doubt you're getting 1800, unless you have some hookup that gets it to you before release date. On that note, are you positive that you'll get your ps3 on the release date? I'd just say, theres no need to set a high starting price and pay higher fees, go with .99$.

If you're asking these questions it leads me to believe that you havn't used ebay before. I'd consider using a friends account since you probably have 0 feedback on yours, and noones gonna fork over over a G to a shady lookin account. Also, make sure you mention in your description that the console is in your possession and ready to ship right away, i would offer very fast shipping

I've heard that if you make the auction only 3 days or less than more people will bid since they want the item right away.

Gamestop probably, the only catch is that I believe you have to sell $50 worth of games, DVDs, ect. in order to use trade-in credit to place the pre-order. They might be doing it that way because of the limited amount of pre-orders they can take per store.

Thank god I don't have to camp out this year because I work at a toy store now with a pretty pimpin' electronics department. )

yeah i may end up going to game stop and fye early next week to see what the deal is. i am getting money from trainn so why not put that into a ps3 to sell )
then when mine from freepay comes i can exchange it for the higher end and already have the difference paid for

I heard that it was just a "test" promotion running through Hawaii and like the Pacific Islands/US Territories...

Not to burst your bubble, but from what I have read, reserving your copy of a system does not guarantee you to get one on launch date.

Gamestop as far as I know I will be calling them isnt accepting reserves til mid october after the owners convention. On the topic note. Sell a couple thing to get some feedback now. To test the waters list the PS3 and reserve it real high like 2000 but say you have a low reserve. Also there is a rule on ebay about pre-ordering I think it is 60 days not sure.

When to list When you ACTUALLY HAVE THE PS3 IN YOUR HANDS
Shipping How much does it cost to ship to the location? What shipping speed? Do you want to jack shipping up so it pays for the eBay fees too?
Starting Price LOW. Do you want to turn buyers off by an $1800 starting price? No.

I would say $15-20 for shipping, depending on the actual weight, but anywhere in there is a good price and is more or less standard.

Start it low, put the reserve wherever you want.

DO NOT LIST UNTIL YOU HAVE IT.
