Question About Concerts

I've never been to a concert. Do most people go w/ friends? Do people stand for the whole concert?

Many people go with friends, but I've gone to many concerts solo as well. Whether you stand or not depends entirely on the venue and how crowded it is, but you should be prepared to stand for 2-3 hours.

I've gone solo a bunch of times, and with friends a bunch of times. We'll usually get separated in the pit and what not (depending on the type of music) but it's always fun to have someone with you to meet up with after the show, drive home with you, etc. Most concerts last around 3 or 4 hours, and at most venues, you will stand up. There are sometimes places to sit, however, like tables for food (on an upper level).

You're in Maryland, so I'd imagine you'd go to a concert at 930 club in DC. Great club. You'll stand.

Possibly even more.

If it's standing only, you can be there before the doors open, queue outside for half an hour to an hour (or longer), go in, stand around and wait for the bands to come and go, and when it's all done (probably about 3 hours later) you'll have to stand to make your way out.

If you like the music/band/artist you're going to see or hear, it really doesn't matter if you go with anyone at all.

Yeah, and bring painkillers. )

Don't wear sandals.
Or bring a backpack.

Pick up earplugs as well.

I'm going to a Third Day concert in Columbus (4 Hr. Concert). I can't find anyone to go with, so I'm going alone. They're my favorite band, so I'm going anyways. It's at the OSU basketball arena.

Becouse you can and more than likely will lose it and when that happens you will never see it again.

Definitely, and yeah a side from the very high risk of losing it security will more than likely not allow you in with it.

Honestly though at most concerts you can kind of choose to get in the pit/slam dance/fight..etc if you are worried about getting attacked.etc you can pretty easily avoid it. However if you wanna get withen about 20-30 rows of the stage (assuming its not assigned seating) expect to be pushed around bumped into and stuff like that quite abit.

FYI The Joint at the hard rock casino is the best venue for moshing.

I'm might be walking for about 20 minutes to the place late at night, so I was wondering.

I doubt that there will be any major altercations at a christian rock concert.
