It didn't do this before but now it started happening.

Whenever I go afk, it goes to welcome screen with user accounts.
Also whenever I start I have to click on the account to actually go into windows. Before it just started and went to screensaver when I went afk.

Where do I change the settings to turn off account page stuff? I can find any options in User Accounts.

you using xp pro?

?????????????/

Why Windows XP suddenly asks for a username and password after installing .NETurl==http://=http:///url is because when you install .NETurl==http://=http:///url a new account gets added to the system. Now you have to login so windows knows witch user it is that is starting the machine.

To remove the login and still be able to run .NETurl==http://=http:///url programs this is what to do on your machine.

1. Go to the control panel, and click on user accounts.
2. Click on the account that says ASP and choose to delete it.
3. When asked choose that you want to keep the user files and also delete the account.
Then "ok".

For Windows to automatically log on a user account during the startup process, the following must be met

- The Welcome screen must be available
- Guest account access must be turned off
- There must be only one user account on the computer
- The user account must not have a password

To make the Welcome screen available

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts.
2. Click "Change the way users log on or off".
3. Click to select the "Use the Welcome screen for fast and easy logon" check box.
4. Click OK.

To turn off Guest account access

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts.
2. Click the Guest account.
3. Click "Turn off Guest access".

To remove the password from the user account

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts.
2. Click the user account.
3. Click "Remove my password".
4. Type the password in the "Type your current password" box, and then click Remove Password.

Ignore the above posts. Go to Control Panel, then Display Properties. Click on the Screensaver tab, uncheck the box that says "On resume, password protect". Click OK.

Now it wont kick to the log on screen when you wake from the screensaver.

To enable automatic logon, type "control userpasswords2" on the Run command and click OK. Uncheck the box that says users must enter a password, click OK. Type in the username of the main account (usually 'owner' or whatever your name is) then click OK. You wont be prompted for logon anymore.

On my screensaver tab, the box is already unchecked but it still does that.

I guess I'll try deleting the .neturl==http://=http:///url account.

I think you are right regarding the .neturl==http://=http:///url account because now that I remember, it started happening after I installed Jail Tycoon 2 which installed the .neturl==http://=http:///url software.

He is right about the .Neturl==http://=http:///url account. I don't remember why I needed the .Neturl==http://=http:///url software, but right after I installed it my computer started doing the same thing you're describing.

Shouldnt that be a good thing? When you go afk you go into the "select a user" blue windows screen?

Geez. You guys have it all wrong.

[bd929af1dc5]Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Power Options > Change settings from there.[/bd929af1dc5]

[bd929af1dc5]Right Click Desktop > Properties > Screen Saver Tab > Uncheck "Show Welcome Screen"[/bd929af1dc5]

You'll see, it's probably going into standby mode after some time passes by. You can change the time or completely turn it off.

But try my second method first. ;)

No, manofice was dead on P.

The option under screentab is unchecked. I deleted the .neturl==http://=http:///url account but kept all the files. Everything works fine without the welcome splash screen that I have to click accounts on.
