ok, so I sold my iPod ebay... and I clearly stated in the items description that I will only ship to a verified address. The winner of the auction within a few minutes of the auction ending sends me the money via paypal and uses an unconfirmed address.

my question is do I give him a chance to provide a verified address, or do I immediately send the money back and give a second chance offer to the second

arr... i feel like a newb

Is the address a U.S. address?

Ask him to give you a verified address.

I wouldn't accept it, I would personally refund the money and issue a second chance offer right away. If that second chance offer falls through and you want your fees back and explain the situation to eBay they might refund you... not sure though.

the buyer has a postive feedback of 22 with no negatives, with one in the past month, 11 in the past six months, and a total of 24 in the past year (total of 24 since he bought multiple items from someone)

what would happen if i take the money, and as soon as it shows up in my bank account, remove my bank account from paypal just to make sure the buyer doesnt have anything to take if he tries a dispute?

or does that just make me look bad

You had that stipulation in your auction for a reason.. If he can't verify his address or provide a verified address, don't go through with it.

you are saying what I am feeling... I've sent him a msg that if he cant give me a confirmed address that I will refund his money and relist the item.

I'll prob at least try the second chance thing as the second highest bidder was only a few dollars below him

Why isn't it a good idea to ship to a non confirmed adress? I have never been checking for confirmed adresses and I have shipped over 40 things no problem.

If they do a paypal chargeback you will be held liable.
