So I have this really old paypal check for $200 that I forgot to cash in.(paypal account limited, only options was to accept a check or transfer to bank account) Its at least 3-4 months old. The problem is no check cashing vendors will accept the check cause its too old and I don't have a bank account. Will I be able to cash the check to lets say my parents account? Can paypal transfer the fund to my sis's paypal account?(either I mail them back the check or call them and give them the checking #,etc)
+karma for the help

I would do the following

1.) contact paypal to see if they'll issue you a new check (fees may apply)
2.) Yeah, sign the check over to your mom and see if she can cash it if 1 doesn't work or if the fees are too much (stop payment can cost $20-25 or more)

I don't really care about the fees. I just want to cash my check soon b4 it expires.(void after 180 days...getting close) and besides I forgot about this check so its basically free money.(freebie money anyways)
can bank really accept another persons check? ? The bank is citi bank.
thanks for the reply though....+k

Well you can go to the bank with someone and sign it over to them and they can cash it, you just have to be present with two forms of ID.

don't you have any sketchy conveinent stores with 'we cash checks' signs? They'll do it for like $5-10

as I mentioned above, the check is too old for them to take.

You can use a library card or some mail...or a social, and a photo ID(usually gov't) but hs might work.

Good luck.

When I went to BoA it had to be government issued so I would bring that just incase.
