Hey, I was wondering what are the most important parts to blank out on screenshots of things like paypal. I always see people blanking out the transaction ID and their email address, but other times I see people leaving the stuff there. What do you do and why?

I blank out the email and transaction ID. I don't know why either of these could be important, but everyone else blanks it out, so shrug .

Someone could use it to their advantage.
Better safe than sorry.

Well maybe they could take the transaction ID and tell paypal something bad about the transaction that is against their TOS.
But than again maybe not. That's a reason I can think of off the top of my head.

I've been wondering this too.
I just block out what everyone else does....

The people can't do anything with any of the info. Even if they wanted to report something like someone above said, they require the last 4 digits of your back account or creditcard.
If they tried to access that page, they will just be redirected to login page.
The reason why people blank things out is because of privacy issues. Like spam your email, etc.
Other than that, nothing people can do to take over your account with any of the info on paypal page.

well.... you can get someone's email from the transaction ID, then you can make a clever phishing email since they know how much money you've recently been sent.
