i test drove one a few months back. It's a pretty nice car, and its a jap (100% parts and labor in japan) so u know it'll get the job done. Jap cars PWN in reliability, with the exception of nissan.
theres an option supercharger for 2 or 3 grand installed, and it adds like 100 hp or something like that.
I say yes, I might get one too if I can save enough $$$

They actually suck ass (at least the one I tried). I test drove one on Wednesday and the stick is under the head unit for some reason so shifting it is pretty awkward. If I were driving around in traffic for too long my arm would probably get tired. They also look like girl cars
And I agree with Kidd on the tc (all scions actually) they're pretty queer looking but fine if you're a girl, or if you're just looking for good gas mileage. But then you're better off with a Honda
I don't really like the box look of the elements, I know someone that has one and we always make fun of him for it, but they're great for hotboxing because smells don't really stick to it, and you can actually hose it out when it gets too dirty

rofl. It's a box. D
The Hondo Element is a bit worse than the Scion xB. They're both boxes. P

I don't think they look bad at all. If they have a spoiler and the good rims they really looks good (and black).

Just open up your wallet and get a porsche or a ferrari or something. Worth every penny.

While we're on the subject of cars, I would recommend a Honda Accord. I just got a 2004 black Accord and it rocks. Drives very nice, good pickup.

When my time comes, I want either a tC or a Yaris.
I personally like this one

I would never get a Yaris. It's like saying (for me), Yeah I like the Camry , but I didn't feel like buying that". Whenever I see a Yaris I think of a xB
How? The yaris doesn't resemble the xB in any way. O_o
The new Camry's look really nice too, but there's a ton of them over here.

We call 'em "toasters" around here (the Scion and the Element). I think they're the ugliest things on the road, next to that Pontiac monstrosity that I can't remember the name of.
The last time I was new-car-shopping over 5 years ago, one of the choices I narrowed down to was a Land Rover Discovery. Reliability and resale issues were what really stopped me from going with the Discovery, but I also couldn't get past the box look -- and it's nowhere near as boxy as the Scion and Element.
Different strokes, I guess...
The funny thing that I find is that Scion made the cars to appeal to young people.
Everytime I see an xB on the road, it's some really old man or woman. XD
pontiac aztec is what ur talking bout
and the stick shift on an 06 si isnt under the headunit you just get used to it its better than the 05 si where its on the actual unit (ep3)
the 06 si is amazing

Well yeah what black car doesn't look good with rims and a spoiler (preferrably a mexican-looking one). But seriously I have no problem with the look of the si, but I think they should have left the stick where it's supposed to be. And for myself I need something bigger than a coupe since I'm coming off a yukon xl

17-09-2006 12:06:46
Well.....first I would have to get used to manual, I've technically never driven shift, but I've had some practice and watch my friend drive all the time.
ragefu, why does it have to be the mexicans that have ugly cars?
I've seen other races own shitty looking cars with walmart wannabe spinner hubcaps.
